Unfortunately, the answer is Live Service as a format. Granted, there's other solutions like whatever the hell Terraia and Minecraft are doing, but we all know TPC wouldn't go for that. It's why I'm cautiously optimistic about Project Seed, as long as they realize they're being overly optimistic about the whole "all of Japan" thing being in game at launch they can easily hit that eventually while improving other aspects of the game in the process. Worked fine for Dragon Quest 10.

Monolith doesn't have a timeframe. We know from leaks that they had Xenoblade 3 already completed before it was announced but they held it back because it ran like shit on the Switch. You can see that in the finished game, most of it runs well but some areas, like The City, were prone to frame drops or freezing. Before it was fixed in an update, the music there had a stutter that was so consistent most of us thought it was part of the track until it got fixed.Seriously we learned so fucking much from the Nintendo and Game Freak leaks that we finally have a solid insight into the games production, and yet the retards here still make shit up to suit their preconceived narratives.
