I'm kinda interested in this game (I've always loved the spinoffs and was disappointed when they mostly stopped being a thing and got replaced by smartphone slop), but holy fuck it's 9000 yen. I don't want to pay nearly 100 bucks for something like this, why is it so expensive? Switch 2 games in general. It's not that I don't have the money, I COULD buy it, but I don't think it's worth that much.Of course the next mainline games are going to target that same price point, and there's no way in hell I'm paying that much unless they seriously up the quality.
>>58937075People hate that it has no real physical version more than they hate the price.
>>58937087I don't buy the cards anyways so I don't see why everyone was getting so upset over it.
>>58937087Meh, if there's no physical version than I'll just get it on the eShop. But since it's a completely digital game there's no justification for the price. It's clearly a low budget game, and there's no costs for manufacturing or distribution or anything so inflation doesn't matter as there's no physical materials involved. So why is this the most expensive Pokemon game ever?
>>58937075>It's not that I don't have the money, I COULD buy it, but I don't think it's worth that much.Unfortunately for every sensible person like you theres 10 manchildren with just as much money who will spend it so nintendo has no incentive to change their practices
>>58937189Because they want to see how much they can rip people off
>>58937075The value of the yen has gone down. You can no longer just go "1 yen ~ 1 cent"
>>58937354And? I'm earning yen, not dollars. 100 yen is like a dollar here. Also the game is literally made in Japan so it shouldn't be affected by currency fluctuations.
>>58937211Apparently 9000 yen. I'm sure the next game will be 10,000.
>>58937075Its expense is because it's worth it. If you want it you need to pay that much, if you don't want it you save that much money from your gaming budget.
>>58937075I want to try it but I don't want to pay $70 for a digital game. I might buy it on humble since they give a 10% discount but its still like $63. If Gen 10 is a game key card like pokopia is im just buying it digitally
>>58937189>It's clearly a low budget gameWhy do you say this, you literally have no fucking clue how much effort went into this game and you're dogging on the artstyle.
>>58937211There's like three publishers and sets of developers involved here. If it weren't a game key card then they wouldn't even make this game.
>>58937788We literally know the main Pokemon titles are low budget, why would a spin-off have more budget than the main titles?
>>58937788>you literally have no fucking clue how much effort went into this gameExcept we do because its just a dragon quest builders asset flip but with creatures Inc assets and gamefreak lore
>>58937792Because, Retard, it's not made by Game Freak and the Pokemon Company, Retard, it's licensed out to Koei Tecmo, Retard, and they are working alongside Square Enix, Retard, and everyone in this huge fucking undertaking needs to be fucking paid, Retard.
>>58937796So where is the money coming from then?
>>58937796Are we really doing the>errmmm actually more than 12 million was spent on legends za because if you look at the credits you'll see all the jeers they paid below minimum wage to lolcowize the gameArgument again? Last time you posted this you got ass blasted and started schizoposting about the sharty
>>58937354>USDMore people live outside of the US than within.
>>58937788Next to no effort. Literally look at it.
>>58937802>still ignoring the fact that spin offs handled by other competent devs have always turned out decent to memorable, like Mystery Dungeon, Rangers, Coliseum, etc>ZA was handled by GFAs typical, nigger cant read. Shouldn't you be posting AI slop of indians? Since you cant stop thinking about their shit.
>>58937087Yeah, only reason we're not buying it. I do want to play it but no (actual) physical is awful
>>58938238Who's "we"?
>>58937075>Koei WEFco
