Otherwise yes, Normal monsters aren't really at the forefront anymore, though that's mostly because the OP monsters, namely current legendaries and paradox, don't have the type. It's not so much the type itself, if they actually made a broken Normal monster on par with what's strongest at the moment, it'd be used.
