Especially with FireRed/LeafGreen supposedly getting HOME support, I assume there will be a gen 1 only competition where they also then introduce all Kanto Pokémon into the game.

When they announced VGC hosting tourneys this year (I don't expect it to host them going forward, Game Freak never ran 4 years VGC out of one cart before and there is a new battle gimmick debuting in Gen 10), seems like it confirmed it's just going to be a vgc thing.
Man it'll be nice to have a battle sim on mobile for once that actually has models and animations. I really hope there's a decent single player campaign with a battle tower and factory and things like thatm
