Funny enough Golbat and Chansey are the only Pokemon this applies to. Not to defend it happening, it's dumb and the evolution prompt shouldn't even appear, but the baby Pokemon won't be encountered until postgame, and without a day/night cycle Espeon and Umbreon aren't even available.

Chansey is true, it's a beast competitively but using it in-game has always been annoying and not worth it. I even tried recently in a FRLG hack and even Blissey wasn't cutting it for me
