Bumping with "it's easier to find two full odds shinys in 20ish Pokemon than it is to get a Ditto to naturally roll two iv stats as both being 31 in 200 or so."

I want to catch Pokemon on Heart Gold in Apricot balls and transfer them to later gens, What stuff looks good in one of the apricot balls or sports ball, especially the shiny version and can be gotten in 4th gen? Looking for ideas.

I also forgot to the make a back up so I can't back up or I'll lose my shiny alpha Froslass I got from Area 20.

I've effectively sealed myself in Latias' hyperspace. I can't leave until it shines.

The whole point of it was to draw out the playtime artificially. It was a remake of a bare game boy game (despite GF having such problems with devving it) that when they came to remake it, they needed content to draw out the game, the same way they made the sevii's for FRLG and put that in the middle and at post-game to hide the fact FRLG would have been like LGPE was on Switch otherwise. Everything they added was to pad out the game. From adding the suicune plot from crystal, to the copy/pasting of the BF from Sinnoh to the arbitrary time gates on special pokémon in the safari zone - all shaped to draw out a player's time spent playing the games, because they knew doing it straight would have been too short.

I still remember when I got my first or 2nd japanese sapphire copy and started resetting for a shiny mudkip and got it after 300+ resets on the same day
I think that was the luckiest hunt for a shiny starter for me
