If you were in charge of making a new game set in KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO what would you make? Be as autistic as you like, I want to see genuine fun ideas
>>
Minecraft on a Kanto game where humans were wiped out by nuclear warfare.
>>
red 2 and blue 2. your starter is level 50 and the game goes to level 200. past level 100, mega evolutions become permanent ie charizard evolves into mega charizard at level 120 when you level holding its stone. red (trainer) is middle aged
>>
>>58958329
Kanto set 30 years after RBY, with Johto postgame
>>
>>58958329
Just make Pokemon clover but replace the clovermons with real Pokemon from all first 3 gens.
>>
Get Tajiri on the project, restart from the 30 weirdos from the Capsule Monsters day, and see what wack shit he can come up with using the last 30 years of video game technology. Will it take like a decade for his team to finish? That's only three years worse than Gen 1 it's fine especially with how bloated game dev times have become. Will it just be some shit you'd find on Steam right now? Probably, hopefully it's Terraria and not some game you've never heard of that's equally as bad as or worse than some bad game you've heard of.
>>
Kanto but backwards, so gym 1 is viridian, gym 2 is Cinnabar, etc. with a pokedex made up of every kanto mon, their relatives, and their regional forms. can fuck with gym leaders/evil team plot/etc, make it an ultra wormhole location canonically to explain any weirdness.
>>
Some kind of freedom, and catching, mechanics maybe like Palworld without guns, more polished, but still able yourself to attack, roll, defend, call your Pokemon etc, maybe less on base building and more adventuring in a large world. Traveling across the land type deal, camping out in forests. Maybe the lighting effects from Sapphire Safari (when it's cranked/turned on), the sunrise, sunset, lightning, rain effects were all really nice
>>
>>58958411
Like bigger map than Palworld, travelling between towns in large areas takes time on foot unless they're close together. Like it's a real adventure travelling the wilds. Riding Pokemon should give significant speed boost through the sky not just a quick travel only, and maybe restricted to certain Pokemon sizes, pidgey cannot carry you for example. But could potentially scout for you. Being able to take control of the Pokemon for that would be good too, switch to camera following Pokemon while you fly or run around.
>>
>>58958329
>what would you make?
I would make Pokémon Yellow (1999) available now on the Nintendo eShop or in stores (Game Key cartridge only) for $149.99. (A bargain compared to buying the original game used)
>>
>>58958329
Modern Kanto.
Seeing a complete citadel where everything was small towns and communities.
Corporations and a consumerist society stomping on the natural world.
Basically, you are travelling to make people remember what they lost by evolving, yet not respecting their past.
Postgame is visiting Johto, and seeing them becoming stagnant by attaching to culture so much.

Basically a game where you see both sides of the progress coin. In fact, there's no "evil" teams, just grunts and con men trying to destroy rival companies, and you accidentally getting in the way.
>>
>>58958329
Literally just FRLG with modern battle mechanics and a 60% chance that any mons you encounter will be replaced with their unova counterpart, except for grimer/koffing/whoever you think trubbish is a counterpart for
>>
>>58958329
3D kanto game, all modern mechanics, crossgens, sevii island postgame with mega evolution
>>
>>58958329
It's very simple. Pokemon Red 2 and Green 2. It would be a modern Pokemon game where the entire Kanto region is rebuilt as a fully 3D appropriately scaled world. There would be new starters and cross Gen evos for Gen 1 pokemon that never got much shine.
>>
Region design would change, for one.
>issue with current Kanto
It's still scaled like it's on the GameBoy. I would mandate a similar thing to what Nintendo mandated when they went fron OoT to TP: scale the region up at least by a factor of two, maybe three in some areas but overall across the board.
Fill in the new space with meaningful world building and useful places to revisit. Examples:
>Pallet Town
No brainer but Professor Oak's Lab should be like it is in the anime, with the windmill design and all. Make the field to the right a place where you can showcase and interact with your boxed Pokémon.
>Celadon City
Add in more markets and vendors in tight alleyways, they could do it akin to how they did alleys in Lumiose City. There have been a lot of items that the series has introduced since the original games and I can see Incense items, held items, Pokéballs that aren't the first three/four types, basically anything useful that is not already sold at the Celadon Department store can be sold here.
>Cinnabar Island
Actually have a volcano on the island for one, but they could still do the whole lab/science theming if they wanted to.
>Saffron City
I think that Saffron needs to be the big city of the game, so it should have pivotal things there for replayable content, in my mind things like the Fighting Dojo being used for rematches like in HGSS and maybe something like a contest hall.
I have a lot more ideas and Sevii and Johto are involved, so if this thread is still up when I wake up tomorrow, I'll post more.
>>
>>58958898
>Pokémon in the region for mainland Kanto
All Kanto Pokémon originally obtainable through wild encounters, the Johto Pokémon that were accessible in Gold/Silver plus the crossgen evos introduced later on
>Pokémon available in Johto for postgame part one
Basically just take Kitakami's dex and adapt it for Johto, it mostly works with the exception of the lore specific Pokémon like Applin, the legendaries, etc. Also perhaps other nods/additions to HGSS like the rare specific headbutt tree Pokémon or the Hoenn/Sinnoh sound Pokémon being native in Johto now.
>all the Pokémon in Sevii Islands for postgame part 2
Alolan forns, Alolan specific Pokémon as they fit in, other rare Pokémon that normally are seen as Kanto and Johto Pokémon, like Chansey, Lickitung, Snorlax, Lapras, Eevee, Scyther, etc.
Basically I want encounters to be fairly common throughout the game with sprinklings of rare things throughout the first two areas, with Sevii being a reward location for sticking around by making special encounter Pokémon more obtainable.

Dystopian KANTOOOO
All "regular" Pokemon went extinct; instead, the following variant forms/subsets of Pokemon can be found
>93 permanent Mega Evolutions
>33 permanent Gigantamax
>12 Ultra Beasts
>22 Paradox Pokemon
>the Pokestar Studio enemies
>any other 'non-Pokemon' Pokemon (like the skeletons of Aerodactyl and Kabutops, the Silph Scope Ghost) that have appeared in the games
Each city has undergone radical changes, often implementing extreme measures headed up by gym leaders.
>Pewter City fled underground, Cerulean is flooded, Surge has implemented martial law and bombards threats near Vermillion with volleys of thunder, Celadon has become an overgrown jungle, Sabrina mindreads Saffron City and brainwashes any dissedents, Cinnabar regularly sees eruptions, Fuchsia is one big Safari Zone with all the residents living in a hidden ninja village, etc
You're sent out from the Pallet Town shelter to go find... a water chip, or something, I don't fucking care. And along the way you teach everyone that love conquers all, and Pokemon are actually our friends.
>>
I’d make an open world style game similar to the Legends games however the main battle gimmick is being able to move around and fight as your Pokemon in an arena style match. Imagine a water down version of Pokken where you are only able to use 4 moves but are able to string some of those attacks into a combo.
>>
>After getting all 150 Kantomon species, you'll be able to go to the Guyana region which has at least 50 new Pokémon inspired by South American animals/culture and Mew
>After completing Kanto you'll be able to start over in the Johto region which has 50 new Pokémon species (No new legendaries though)
>The game has Gen 3 quality graphics
>>
>>58958329
easy
>a bit more modern kanto, new story revolving around team rocket being more dangerous, mons form different regions, the ability to trade any pokemon to the game to battle with (like in gen 2-7) and megas/z moves are back
>>
>>58958329
A game where you destroy that shithole
>>
>>58958329
Give it the b2w2 treatment with a little legends and a little new sauce
>new towns and routes, you start in a different town, maybe up past bill's house
>the gyms are in a different order with some different leaders. blaine isn't there for example, janine took over koga's gym like normal, etc
>add in the johtomons that can be found in kanto already
>add in some extra mons from gens 3 - 9 (10?) and give some of them regional forms to fit kanto
>allow all cross-gen evos obv
>add in a few NEW mons, some regular ones, some new evos, and a couple new legendaries
>maybe new starters too, just to be fun. Maybe 20-25 new mons total, nothing huge.
>the new legendaries are the boxart legendaries
>you can find an aged up (again) red on top of mt. silver and fight him again because that's kino
probably some more changes but it would be sick to get something this transformative
>>
>adding new pokemon
they'll never touch the original 150

>>
make new versions of all the designs, make sure to cut out some fan favories and add more legendaries, and make the plot really important, and add some green hair guy that fucks his dog as the main character, and make all the redesigns look like shit, then make the game set in AMERICA
>>
>>58958329
>KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO but its inspired by UNDERTALE

>Protagonist is isekai'd into the world of Pokemon and is fully aware that they are in a video game. Player is given the opportunity to play the game normally by battling and catching pokemon, to play as a Pacifist by recruiting pokemon via befriending in the wild or rescuing them from their abusers and avoid battling by playing mini-games, or play as a Villain by stealing pokemon while doing a genocide.

>>
>>58958329
My idea is basically Kanto but from the perspective of a Starter Pokemon. You are caught / given to a random kid in Pallet town and your goal is to help your new trainer become a Pokémon Champion (basically like Ash's Pikachu). Communication with your trainer starts off fairly basic as you can only answer yes or no questions by nodding or shaking your head, but eventually your trainer will learn to fully understand you based on body language and vocal tones. Eventually your trainer becomes competent enough to win matches without your help.

>Maybe one on the Route 12-13-14-15 Stretch?
turning 13 and 14 into a new town would be pretty reasonable imo, or maybe sandwiching a town in the little nook there so you can enter from the north or west into it.

A new remake with:
>Fairy Type
>Always on EXP Share, but with a tweaked version of the Gen 5 EXP system meaning you fags can stop whining
>fixed top-down camera
>Skippable cutscenes and dialogue
>Infinite TMs
>HMs work like BDSP where you don't need to waste a move slot on them or otherwise they are replaced with Key Items and you can now forget them at any time
>Easy access to Mints and Ability Patches in Celadon's Department Store
>New Vitamin that clears your Pokemon's EVs entirely
>Old Vitamins now raise EVs in such a way that you can do a proper competitive stat split easily
>Move Relearner is free and found in Fuschia, alongside a new Move Tutor that teaches exclusive moves in exchange for Heart Scales which you can either find in the overworld, find held on Goldeen/Seaking, or buy from the Prize Corner for like 2000 coins
>Actual dynamic scaling for the gyms so they get stronger with each Badge you acquire
>New pathways open up that allow you to challenge all the gyms except Viridian in any order you like. There's a boat in Vermilion after the SS Anne is cleared that takes you to Cinnabar, due to HMs not needing badges anymore you can now use Cut as soon as you get it to get to Rock Tunnel, etc.
>Safari Zone totally overhauled to not be a right pain in the ass, and any Pokemon there can be found in the postgame outside of it
>Sevii Islands return, and there's now a full Johto postgame
>New events to get Mew and Celebi after you catch Mewtwo
>Completing the Kanto dex (which requires Johto) unlocks a special battle against Professor Oak like the one cut from gen 1 on top of Mount Silver
>There are dedicated NPCs who will do tradebacks at certain places for trade evos
>All Held Item crossgen evos are possible for kantomons after you beat the E4 + Champion
>Instead of rematching the E4, you can go be the champion and fight challengers from a list of pre-made NPCs who have competitively-viable teams for players who care about that sort of thing

This is how the Japanese generally view foreigners.

The exception is when a character exists as a fetish (the foreign waifu); otherwise, they are caricatured as a joke. Just think of Fantina—in the original Japanese, she's English, not French.

In this case the character is a parody of J. Vasquez from Aliens, an interpretation that by Japanese standards is very masculine.

Pokemon RGBY
>Red version is normal Kanto, Sevii islands included but about as barren as they were in FRLG
>Blue is the regular story but you are playing Blue's route, which is arranged differently (could have Blue taking the CUT routes so he goes straight to Vermillion from diglett cave) so it's like a what if-type of game and you get to see yourself earn championship but not before Red pulls up.
>Green is woman moment, imagine GSC/HGSS Kanto but without going to Jotho first, with Blue being the 8th gym and your endgame is Red at mt. silver
>Yellow is in LGPE's timeframe, which is after Jotho and has more focus on the SeVii islands which are more developed (i.e. the LGPE kids witness the rise of rainbow rocket)
Post-game could be different for these games but i can't think of anything than visiting different regions, or straight up making Alola the post-game vacation spot

Ok OP, you want autism? Let's get autistic.

Slate = color between cerulean and pewter
Magenta = color between fuschia and lavendar
Easel = you know what an easel is retard, starting town
>Yellow
rough paths you'd go down
>Blue
blocked paths; after story is complete they open up
>Pink
evil team story order. You have to beat the second one before you can fly, then the 3rd one before you're allowed into saffron.
>Green
gym leader order. 3/4/5 can be beaten in any order. 6/7 you challenge in either order but you're interrupted and have to go to cinnibar and then the sevii islands to finish neo nuevo super rocket, or whatever the evil team is, before you can fly back and get your 7th badge.
>HMs
you can obtain Fly as early as right after you beat the 2nd gym (by going through vermillion without challenging the gym there and doing the evil team fight there) and surf is available after the 6th badge so you can cross from fuschia or the route to cinnibar. HMs are able to be learned by any pokemon you OWN, not just the ones in your party, and you call them from the PC to use the moves. So, having mons that can use Strength, Rock Smash, Cut, whatever is no longer annoying, really.
>gym leaders
>1: Cerulean
Misty, now a certified hag, has a daughter. Water obviously.
>2: Lavendar
New girl, uses Ghost-types. Agatha is her mother.
>3: Magenta
Bill. He moved to this town when it was being built in order to continue his experiments. Steel-type.
>4: Vermillion
Surge's successor listed above, Electric.
>5: Fuschia
Janine, succeeding her father. Poison.
>6: Saffron
Sabrina, you know the drill. Also she looks strangely younger... Psychic.
>7: Saffron, again
Bruno became the dojo owner after retiring from the E4, then got back in as a gym leader because he just couldn't quit the game. Fighting.
>8: Pewter
Brock, now with a beard and mustache, and sporting a new Rock/Ground Onix evo ace. Rock, obviously.

Oh yeah, and
>dex
all cross-gen evos included, johto mons that are native to kanto included, some random 3-10 gen mons included (just a couple of each to spice it up though), some NEW cross-gen evos for both kanto and non-kanto mons, some regional forms of non-kanto mons, also a new set of starters and a new set of box legendaries. Also mewthree. Probably like 350 in the full dex. Uh, some routes might have extra offshoots now or something, as well.

also I forgor the autism map I made
>>
I would add all of the monkey mons: the elemental monkeys, passimian, oranguru, annihilape, aipom, darmanitan, chimchar and grookey, heck even slaking, gorilla enough. And make more monkey pokemon. Give me a gibbon, and a howler monkey, and a proboscis monkey, and a spider monkey, and a bonobo, and a gigantopithecus, and a baboon, and a mandrill.
>>
>>58958329
I'd start with a 3d remake of Kanto with all of the fan requested features from the games. Then I'd add another side mode for players to invest in (like Pokemon Contests) such as Pokemon Soccer. The player creates a team of 5-6 non-legendary pokemon to play against an opposing trainer. During a match you can either command your team from a distance or control one of your pokemon directly. Most moves and special abilities are allowed however only the pokemon with the ball can be attacked by the opposing team. The soccer stadiums are set up in all major cities (each with a different style of terrain) and if the player earns enough wins they can go to the national stadium (located near the Pokemon League) and challenge the champion.
>>
>>58958329

You are not destined to be a champion, you're a broke, under prepared traveller with a backpack and a license that's basically "good luck out here"

A 3D third person adventure with pretty lighting. Part cozy, part survival (not base building)

Lush exploration, survival lite, cozy campfire, and "oh no" moments

The world is wide, routes are not safe, towns are far enough apart that getting there is part of the story.

Buying 3 pokeballs feels like a win, capturing your first reliable partner feels like a turning point

Reaching the next town before a storm or predator event feels like a real journey.

Camp at night, gather some firewood, pitch shelter, dry your gear, cook simple meals

Weather and darkness are big factors

Food is important but you don't starve in 10 minutes, you don't need to constantly eat, but you do need to every now and then and so do your pokemon

You can bring food with you from town, you can fish, forage or hunt for small game

You can watch your pokemon nap by the fire, brew tea, hear distant mons inna woods

You can fight but youre not superhuman, light attacks and simple gear you can carry with you if you buy or find it (eg: knife, sling, stick/club) you're not trying to out dps mons, its to survive, escape or create an opening for your mon to act, or to catch a very low level mon

Leveling is slower but more meaningful

Money is tight early, you don't rack up the equivalent of tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars and can just fill up 99 pokeballs and whatever other gear and items, pokeballs are expensive and high tech

Side quests are practical and can earn enough money to buy a few ball and hopefully capture a mon with them, as well as foraging and selling stuff from the wilds

Gen 2 sequel basically. Kanto 2 more years later with Johto + Sevi postgame. Maybe new routes to both Kanto and Johto, Cinnabar island town built on top of the ruins with old Cinnabar as a dungeon with both the mansion and lab being major parts of the dungeon. Have Silver and Lyra/Kris return in some way. Rocket is fucking gone gone so instead the evil team could probably be some just corrupt takeover of Silph to tie into the light environmental themes the originals had (pollution ect). I'd like a postgame like HGSS where even though characters had no relevance to the original plot they just showed up anyway for extra content like Steven and Cynthia.
>>
>>58967272
>>58967276
>2 gyms in the same town
wtf why
>>
>>58968563
GameFreak could never. I've thought about starting something like this using ripped assets if they exist. With a few variations. Another is the isekai meme, you find yourself in one of the caves desperately looking for a way out trying to escape the sounds in the dark something like reflection caves, "you" don't know anything about Pokemon/Pokemon world and have to survive, perhaps when you finally exit at night, in a storm, you see a silhouette standing over you, fearing the worst and our of desperation your hand feels a solid object you throw at it the creature, it turns out to be a Pokeball and you start your adventure with a low level mon out in the wilderness somewhere knowing nothing.

Another variation is you play as a Pokemon in the wild, it isn't so much battles as it is a life and death struggle as a last resort, experience is hard won. You also have to survive against poachers. Though it's harder to come up a narrative or story around that, like a point or goal and a comfy side too
>>

This would be good if it's done in a really creepy way and it's not possible to get outside the borders, something always prevents you and you assume that's the limit of the game, unless you pull a Skyrim and managed to get outside the hard border and contrary to Skyrim, find out there *is* a whole other world out there
