Much like Seed, that's likely going to get quietly scrapped unless they can pull out an unrelated, yet still something clearly inspired by a cassowary (and I say that as just as I was typing, I imagined a clown-faced effort as a single stager).

The leaked map showing that islands inspired by the western portion of New Guinea and apparently Seram are in gives me hope for a cassowary in this gen. There are always a few mons inspired by the real-world fauna of the region, and cassowaries are among the best that Indonesia has to offer.
