It was really funny watching shills constantly backpedal at the time. First it was Maractus, then Maractus is seen in a trailer. They move on to Qwilfish is seen in a trailer. Zebstrika was Blueberry Academy only so you can't really use it in SV
However I recently replayed Pokemon Black and used Zebstrika.
Watchog is lame yes but which regional Rattatas do you use? Why did Watchog get singled out?
SwSh and SV would be objectively better if I could transfer all my old Pokemon in. I don't need everything in the wild or to have dex entries.

When done properly with proper planning. The effort needed for them to include every previous gen Pokémon DOES NOT scale with the number of previous gen Pokémon that exist. There is no good reason they shouldn't have every game have every previous gen Pokémon be transferable to it like we used to and have the games be good on top of that. The idea that the dex cut was some inevitability that would arise when eventually there would be "too many" Pokémon, is objectively wrong.

Being able to continue to transfer your Pokémon to newer and newer games is one of the major unique aspects of Pokémon specifically, which the series encouraged in several ways, the dex cut impairs that. Demand every Pokémon be transferable, no exceptions.
