I'm not digging these designs. Both look remarkably unremarkable and even verging on generic NPC looks. And the clothes - athletic leggings with full shorts on over them is a terrible unaesthetic combo. But then they go further and make both boy girl wear athletic long sleeve shirt with T shirt over it making it look even more ugly. In S/V you were similar garb but at lest it had a school uniform motif to play with, this is just ultra generic athletic wear. It's like Gamefreak is trying hard not to make unique and cute characters. I'm sure we'll get customization options but it'll unlikely go beyond athletic wear with casual clothes over the top.
