>>58980286I'd take the LA tech demo over the ZA tech demo frankly. Honestly just make it a little more linear so it apes Xenoblade and not Monster Hunter and it would be a dramatic improvement. Maybe switch out the semi-ATB system for a job system if they're aping Final Fantasy. And change out the grindy quests with little vignettes inspired by each Pokemon line in the game, so you get the interacting with Pokemon thing but in a more engaging package. I don't trust them to do a remake in the style of Xenoblade, or at all. The only iffy thing would be the story since they already went back the the Unova well once and it was kinda mediocre. There's interesting things you can do with Unova as a setting and with the core themes of the games, but they've drained the N/Ghetsis well dry and you'd have to invert the theme entirely to get anything interesting out of it which I think would be kinda cool.

I'm kinda suprised, ngl. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl sold very well. Yes, the game had flaws, but the masses ate it up. With Winds and Waves not being a holiday 2026 title like it was widely expected to be, I half-expected a remake of some kind for this holiday, instead.
>>58980471>Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl sold very well.>I half-expected a remake of some kind for this holidayBDSP barely outsold a game released in the worst sales period of the year despite being released in the best sales period of the year, quality of BDSP aside there's probably diminishing returns on remakes and the fact that the most popular Pokemon game in Japan's remake did so mediocre is what put the idea in their mind that they need to do better as seen in the leaks (this is Game Freak so I don't trust them to do better).
>>58980523Idk anon, 15+ million copies as of the end of 2022 doesn't seem like anything to sneeze at. It's in the Top 20 best selling Switch games and the 11th best selling Pokemon game. I'm just saying I didn't expect them to stop with the remakes, and maybe they haven't Idk, but revisiting the BW games seems like what would be up next.
