>>59000914I will miss our delusional wannabe investor brothers.
>What cards should I look at for upgrading the Rocket Mewtwo deck?I asked this near the end of the last thread?
>>59000989I don't know what comes in the battle deck, but for post-rotation you want a maximum belt ace spec and a lillie's clefairy ex.
>>59000955I kinda miss them...
I will never forget you, /tcg/ bros, it has been a pleasure.See you when gen 11 drops.
We are so fucking back
>>59000955I never want to hear from them again but it was a fun experience
is the trainer's toolbox worth buying?
>>59001153Go fuck yourself bitch
>>59001182No, just get the singles. If that's difficult where you live then I guess it is worth it. Don't overpay for it, tho.
We're finally free it seems. It wasn't that bad but I wouldn't want to do it again.>>59001155I thought Garchomp would rise up over Lucario to be honest, but maybe Garchomp's struggle to push 2 energy in a pinch is too much at the moment.
>>59001274It seems to be available for MSRP.
n's zoroark seems strong in april
>>59001666The only thing of value from it is Fez, and Fez has been reprinted into the dirt.
>>59001688Yeah that's why I'm practicing my post rotation list. Zekrom did a lot for the deck and Zoroark's heavy drawing is really good in the wake of rotation taking a bunch of good supporters. Shaymin is easily the roughest card to play against but second to that the deck I'm playing can be a bit bricky so I've been wanting to make it a little more consistent somehow.
Is there a way to manipulate a timer bug in live?I just lost 3 matches in a row because my turn timer ran out for some reason.
>>59001688losing iono and cc sucks for the deck but that applies to every deck. getting unfair stamped isn't going to be the end of the world thanks to the draw. I'm not sure how the lucario mu will work out
>>59001155S tier incoming
>>59002594Can't wait because it will make Bolt-Bolt Tier 2.
>>59002606>tadbulb: 60hp>watrell: 60hp>kilowatrell:120hpAt least they can't take 3 prizes against Bellibolt+kilowattrel
>>59002594I wonder if someone would make a functional combo with this and Mega Absol.
about 3 more weeks until great tusk is neutered. pokemon company please print another single prize, non coin flipping, mill attacker.
>>59002669>non coin flipDon't be a baby, Wugtrio's mill 9 was based
>>59002669>single prizeNo. High risk, low return is the way.
>>59002632I don't see why they can't tech in a dark energy and a crispin/counter gain. But it will never be meta if it can be hard countered by zoroark placing a single damage counter on itself with pecharunt poison.
how the fuck is this mewtwo deck winning city leagues? it plays like actual shit
>>59002773Is not that bad of a deck. The rookie mistake is trying to use Mewtwo to attack, but if you focus on using the Spidops, this deck performs nice.It can also tech a Lillie's Clefairy to make the Dragapult matches more consistent. The main weakness post rotation are Marnie's Grimmsnarl and Mega Kangaskhan because the bench is very fragile.
repostin' for anyone that skipped the combo bread
>>59002669They did, it's Hippowdon and it's bad.
The problem with Live is those random crashes.I almost lost this one because the game stopped out of nowhere, giving my opponent a free turn. The idea was using Hilda to get a Rocket energy here.
what the fuck
>>59002991mangonorrea.
>>58998414Im playing a dark deck and I use the clutch yveltal, but Im tempted to use this instead just for the ability even tho it has no free retreat.
I miss, strangely enough, protective goggles. Spidops is the only matchup I don't think is actually worth playing on ladder for Zoroark.
>>59002712The real question is why doesn't he get used.
>>59003895dies to bolt and dengo in 1 turn but can't kill them back
Is Team Rocket finally playable? I want to show off with my Team Rocket accessories.
>>59003945It has been playable for a year. There are multiple playable TR decks right now.
>>59002747If N's Zoroark is poisoned it dies to Gren.
>>59003945Wait until Iono, Gardevoir and Gholdengo rotates out.
>>59003945You can get 8 turns without getting a single Transceiver, Ariana, Archer, Pretel and Lilllie if you have it too.
>>59001009Wobbuffet is useless in that deck because every single meta deck can and will one shot Mewtwo.Because most of this deck can't one shot the non dragon, fighting and dark mons, is better to have a Sneasel or another Brave Bangle instead of Wobbuffet.Wobbuffet only works if you have the clunky Orbeetle line and you are facing against the Froslass Munki decks or you let the opponent Dragapult to spread damage everywhere and that's adding like 3 to 6 extra cards in the deck which is totally not worth it.
>>59002594Would a Kyogre work here?Greninja uses ability, retreat it with another Greninja to use the ability again, then attack by discarding a water energy. That's 4 energy used in a single turn.On the other hand, I don't think a match with megas involved will last more than 5 turns.
>>59004624The real bottleneck is getting the energies consistently to start with.
>>59000914Just noticed the Ascended Heroes ETB booklet made a reference to yugioh lol.Are any of the anon on this thread brave enough to build exodia N irl and take it to a local league?
Having this card go from 2 energy to 7 or 8 in a single turn is funny. Gets funnier when it one-shots a mega with like 380 HP
>>590048157 tails.I know that can happen because I just won a match in live thanks to that. I kinda felt bad about my opponent because he should have won that one.
>>59004815Same, Heliobro
>>59003955Name me one list that is not Tier C and consistently gets decent results in tournaments.
>>59005259>>59001155Honey, I'm not going to spoon feed you.
>>59004610I guess the 18th place player out of 7000 players was just retarded with his wobbuffet choice>>59005259Not consistent, but multiple archetypes took spots in the top 32
>>59005264>4,8%I accept your concession.
>>59005274Well, the 9th and 13th place didn't use a Wobbuffet for a good reason.
dragonite eels will be BDIF
>>590052745th place deck is cancer.
>>59005600It's your fault if you lose to walls when every deck can easily include shred.
>>59005616I have a card for it, I just hate that it's useless 99% of the time.
>>59005634 (Me)Forgot to say that I use the Spidops against the Crustle, the problem is the Corner Oger.
>>59005274>Not consistent, but multiple archetypes took spots in the top 32The deck appears to be almost non-existing in the meta except for a few fringe randoms.
>>59005983>SVI-PFLThat is a completely different format to G-on. I didn't follow the replies back far enough to see that "tier C" is not referring to these images >>59001155 which are post-rotation.Rocket's mewtwo is currently shit. Rocket's honchkrow has some decent matchups.
>>59005983This one is still using G format while the other one is post G.That makes a big difference because Rocket team is extremely vulnerable to Gardevoir, Gholdengo and Iono.In the post G, Rocket team should be a bit safer, but it's still very weak against the Froslass + Munki decks (mostly the Marnie's Grimmsnarl), the Kangaskhan tank decks and Arboliva decks, however those are not as rampant as Gardevoir and you can still play against them with some luck on your side.
>>59006004Unless you're going to be earning points within the next month, SVI-PFL doesn't matter. The metagame is beyond stale and nobody cares about it anymore.
>>59006012>>59006004>Should>If>MaybeYeah, I don't want to talk about wishes and hopes - I asked about the reality, not someone's delusions.
>>59006044Post G, Rocket Honcho and Rocket Mewtwo are being used. They are more popular than Cynthia, Marnie, MeMe, and Eevee decks.
Alright so what meme deck are you guys gonna try out on rotation day? For me, it's pic related.
>>59006718It's like a shittier Charizard replacement.
>>59006756I know but it's single prizer and metal is receiving an acceleration supporter. Also kingambit has always looked cool to me so I want to play it at least once.
Crustle with Spike Energy to fuck with the non ex decks.
>>59004815I didn't flip anything more than 210 damage when I played this. Would not recommend because this game most certainly has weighted coinflips.
What would Kangaskhan Bouffalant deck will do once the energize tm and bravery charm rotates out?
>>59006920Half the deck is G block alongside the Absol deck. Hopefully this boring ass deck is unpalyable
>>59006951I think they can still play a bit by risking it with only 2 Bouffalant in the bench and filling the rest with Munkis.
>>59006004Rocket Spidops too because top decks are Dragapult (tera and dragon), Alakazam (Articuno, lol), Raging Bolt (dragon) and N's Zoroark (Dark). Honchkrow is more stable since it hits big damage against everyone as long as you don't get bricked.
>>59006951Absol just won a post rotation 7k player tournament in Japan.
Got into the TGC recently by playing Live.Be honest: Is the Greninja EX deck viable? I've done alright with it so far, after some adjustments obviously, but I do find myself struggling to deal with the insanely fast Dragapult decks sometimes. Unless I have my combos down by turn 2-3 I just get blown off the field.
>>59007156No...
>>59007160Anon.... dragapult is not a "fast" deck and you'll probably see a lot more of them at local stores once rotation hits. Just play Lucario and be done with it.
>>59007175>Anon.... dragapult is not a "fast" deckIt can typically get out a third stage evolution hitting me for about 200 damage in about two turns. >local stores Like I said, mostly been playing Live.
>>590071901st turn: Dreepy.2nd turn: Drakloak.3rd turn: Dragapult.
>>59007190>It can typically get out a third stage evolution hitting me for about 200 damage in about two turns. All competent decks do that. >mostly been playing Live.Live is whatever, you can hit legend with whatever shitheap you want.
>>59007208>All competent decks do that.Fair. Though a lot of my opponents don't seem to share that mentality. >Live is whatever, you can hit legend with whatever shitheap you want. Then I guess I might as well keep at it.>>59007199Rare candy on turn is pretty common...
>>59007220>Rare candy on turn is pretty common...Any pult deck running rare candy is a shitter.
>>59007220The pult players likes to use Drakloak for the draw engine.>>59007229They use rare candies, but on their dusks.
What the hell is happening with Live?I lost many matches in a row because of a bug that didn't let me play cards. Now I am wining a match because my opponent can't do anything besides sending those ugly emotes.
Jesus christ I was getting worried once it said 0-7
>>59007229ChariPult runs it for the Zard. Zard turn 2 into pult turn 3 is the dream play.
does he know?
>>59007512If you ran Olives that matchup would instantly be won
>>59007526you also do not know
>>59007532I think just running the olive is better than running venusaur and sniping with fez actually
>>59007546you must not think because you are unawarean unknower, if you will
>>59007552I don't like this roleplay
im not so sure dragapult will be the terror of next format the way people are saying it will be
>recent city league resultsDoes nobody in Japan know how to deckbuild? This seems like the most scattered nonsense "meta" I've ever seen. How is Zoroark not dominating?
>>59007615Zoroark gets countered by grass slop.
>>59007615Zoroark hard loses vs Spidops and the Venusaur variant of Grassbox unless they brick super hard. No Venusaur Grassbox is a volatile matchup that hinges on you getting prizes first because you can't utilize Darmanitan's strength of sniping basics because they don't keep them in play either because you'll snipe them or because they play forest and evolve it immediately. You can't even snipe the Meganium because it has 160 and you reach at best 130 with mochi to a frontliner with Flamebody Cannon and they can always skew your prizes and/or force boss by swinging with Meganium since Max Rod can just get it back for free which also puts you in an unfavorable position.
>>59007512You know that Mold Colony doesn't work here, right?
>>59007686I'm pretty sure Toed EX works but nobody runs that anymore
>>59007698Forgot about that one. You are right, nobody runs that anymore and it will completely disappear in April.
>>59007615Grass eat it alive.Rocket Spidops, MeMe, Olive and MeMeVe
Hello all, I stopped playing casually in 2024 because I felt everything being played was boring and uninteractive. Is the game better or worse than it was then?
>>59007754It's the same deck list as back then. The decks will change in April.
First time that I lost against a Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Loppuny and Dusk deck.In his second turn, he popped 3 Dusclops obliterating my bench.
This deck might be fun after all
any ninjask/shedinja lists? they seem unusable but I dont care
>hard but winnable enough game to warrant playing an extra turn to see if I draw something>game stops responding and i have to scoop>can't even queue up again because queue is deadOh.>>59008007This looks like a generic hit and run card so I can draft something bad up in a few minutes I guess
>>59008007>>59008025I haven't tried it yet and I'm probably forgetting something but it's the most basic hit and run deck I could think of plus farigiraf because it doesn't rotate out and mimikyu does
>>59008127I realized what I'm forgetting and its that the prism energy doesn't work on shedinja so swap that with 2 regular psychic energy
>>59008127Thanks I just came back into the game so I donw know whats what. I saw ninjask and wanted to play around with it, doesnt matter if its bad.
I queued into the exact deck I did not want to queue into the first game I got in because I don't know what to do against Typhlosion
if you're still playing current format on live you're gay desu
>>59008178You just got Ionoed 4 times in a row, right?
>>59003899>dies to bolt and dengo in 1 turnwhat doesnt anyway
>>59008186Honestly turn 1 Arven for everything they need to set up feels worse than Iono a lot of the time
I was having a really close match until he pulled out all of his G block cards
>>59008186>knock out budew>rocket's petrel into turn 2 unfair stampAmazing
>>59008268many such cases
>>59007615if the meta in japan is mostly pult and m lucario then it's probably because it can't one shot mega lucario without a supporter or mochi while mega lucario just needs a tool or an item. every mu that I know of besides festival lead is fine. I'm not sure about the mega absol mu
I know it won't be good but I hope this is at least playable with the new baby serperior coming next setEspecially without Iono around
>>59008659Forgot pic
this olive deck is really gonna run the fucking meta isn't it...
I finally got a win with this entirely because of Ogerpon but that's kind of the gimmick I guess. More times than not they have a secret mouseketool but 90 damage is incredibly bad. Shame because I have a playset of the nice arts>>59008821We run this metagame pal
Would building a deck around Mega Venusaur ex work out?
>>59008935These cards would be a lot cooler if you could choose what got bossed in. It would also be cute if these were playable but the game is too fast for this even in that trainer larp format they have probably
>>59008938That Ogerpon is the only reason why my Rocket Spidops deck has a Rocket Kangaskhan.Ogerpon absolutely destroys this deck without it (Mimikyu's are not enough).
>>59009058Yes. It's not the best deck, but it works.Mega Venusaur, some Green Ogerpon, Wally and Ice creams and a Meganium too so you can hit with less energies and retreat more easily.
>>59009058This one won a City League in Japan and it's as simple as it gets
>>59010170What a pain in the ass to defeat deck.Unless you can hit 480 or 380 with a jamming tower, the only way to deal with this deck is by bench sniping the Ogerpon.I guess Dragapult using 2 Dusknoir and the Munki will be able to take the Mega Venusaur once.
>budew + night stretcher spamRetarded design for retarded players
>>59003814I do not like this card, Charlie
>>59010170I love the heck out of that deck in theory. It almost reminds me of the era of big basic.
I hate collectors like you wouldn't believe.
>>59011445On the contrary, I love them. They are the reason this game is so cheap to play. You think the pokepad situation is bad? Take a look at mtg or yugioh where every staple is overpriced as fuck.
>finally find a pokemon card i like>impossible to get a reasonable price because waifu tax+good card>if i buy it now it won't even be worth anything tomorrowcheap my ass
>>59011445when are you retards gonna realize it's getting printed in perfect order
>>59011490What card?
>>59011490>pokemon>waifu taxFBI, seize this man's hard drive
>>59011517this one>>59011521You'll only find 20GB of tomboys
>>59011521Where do you think you are, fucktard?
>>59011528>Complaining that a well out of rotation card is expensive>in /tcg/
>>59011492It's legal to play in two days. Do you expect people to just do without for another month?
>>59011538i dont play this ogreporn masturbation simulatori just want the fucking tomboy
>>59011544Perfect order prerelease is like 2 weeks away and you will be able to play it as it would already exist in a legal set. Of course we still don't have confirmation that it will be printed in perfect order, that anon might be too optimistic but otherwise just wait 2 weeks.>>59011490That's why I said "to play". You don't need fuckyou golden saar rarity or whatever to beat asses at your local league, the 2 dollar version of the card does the same thing.
>>59011545>>59011528you're in the wrong general retard>>59011544every local I've ever been to lets you proxy if they don't have the cards for sale. my local specifically sold these for $1 until they ran out, only to players. If you're so competitive that you absolutely need it in two days then you should have a sponsor that already sent a playset to you weeks ago.
>>59011586I noticed i indeed am in the wrong generalthank you, faggot
>>59011586>sold these for $1 until they ran out, only to players. The kind of shit that makes me return to a store, love when they do this kind of thing.
>>59008127whats the point of one farigiraf alone? its a stage 1
>>59011586>If you're so competitive that you absolutely need it in two days then you should have a sponsor that already sent a playset to you weeks ago.>"Oh, you're not your shop's star? You don't wear their jersey? You don't need the Pads then. Tough luck, pal."
>>59011726I think you are overplaying the effect of pads in local store metagame.
boys finally understanding how difficult pads are baka
>>59011773I think you're going to keep making excuses.
>>59011838I don't need to, I just play a deck that doesn't need pokepads.
You guys are making me want to build grass slop box. Buying 4x Teal Mask seems like a really good investment.
>>59011856Yeah, they will more than likely go up in price in the upcoming months so if you intend on pkaying it down the road you should get them now.
>>59011856It's one of the few decks that doesn't care about pads.
Just play 4x Artazon Froslass Munkidori until rotation, surely pokepad will be printed by then.
>>59011856Just buying 2x Teal Mask is a good enough investment, you can always ask for someone to lend you extra copies if you got chill buds
>>59011702I realized I forgot that game 2 when I couldn't play it but I never actually went into it but I did add the Girafarig in. It was a disaster so I didn't bother updating past my one win
legitimately what reason do the pad complainers have to not play gardevoir requires no pads and counters the BDIF that got even stronger with pads
Mamoswine Quaquaval deck?
>>59012602Surely there are better draw stage2s. If you mean the G-block quaquaval, blaziken-ex is better but still a bad mamoswine deck.
>Mamoswine without pidgeot soonCall it quits bro..
>>59012617I meant this one.>>59012637And without Arven.
>>59012617
You either get a good Stage1 or die a rogue Stage2 mon
Say I want to be yet another fucking nerd who wants to collect some waifu cardsWhat's the best way to go about this? Buy them individually? Try to find a collection/binder?I don't have a goal in mind, just want the cute trainer girl cards that don't cost a fortune
>>59012812Wrong thread. You're looking for the /tcc/ thread for collectors
>>59012817Ah my bad thanks
Again, only have 10 energies in my deck, but started with a shitty basic and 6 energies. No way to recover from that.
>>59010170I think I might buy the cards I need to finish this. I already have 3 Teal Masks, 4 Lillie's Determination, and 2 Boss's Orders.
>>59012803Pretty much. I've preached this forever. You need a good stage1 mon if you want to make it as a stage2. Being a rare candy only user is pure cope. They really gotta print a supporter version of rare candy, pulling the stage2 from the deck gives it a benefit over just the item version
>>59013066>They really gotta print a supporter version of rare candy, pulling the stage2 from the deck gives it a benefit over just the item versionI think that would have to wait until after next rotation, just so that grand tree isn't powercrept and decks don't have an instant dusknoir option.
>>59012812Just buy singles online or at your local store.
>>59013706I miss Chien Pao.
>>59013945He still here
>>59013706I'm surprised that they'd hang Mega Charizard X out to dry by not reprinting this OR super rod. Not that it had too much of a leg to stand on but still.
>>59014346Energy Recycler sends more energy, otherwise I'm just running more stretchers. I miss super rod already.
>>59014346The combo they want you to use is energy recycler + firebreather.
You must play 2 Book of Change at once (only apply the effect once).Choose 1 of your Basic Pokémon in play. Search your deck for a Basic Pokémon and switch it with that Pokémon. (Any attached cards, damage counters, Special Conditions, turns in play, and any other effects remain on the new Pokémon.) Shuffle the first Pokémon into your deck.....but what for?
>>59014548Can we even find this consistently without petrel and hoping you draw the other half? I can't imagine a deck actually using one of these at the moment.
>>59014548>....but what for?Remove liabilities from play, or transform your ho-oh/ogerpon with energy into something else. No deck wants to run 4 dead cards just to remove meowth from play.
Sudowoodo - Fighting - HP110Basic Pokémon[C] Learning Journey: Search your deck for 2 Book of Change, reveal them to your opponent and add them to your hand.[F] Rock Blast: 30 damage. This attack damage is not affected by Resistance.Weakness: Grass (x2)Resistance: noneRetreat: 1>>59014563Only terabox with their noctowl can search it out.
>>59014548The new pokemon is from the discard, not from then deck. From deck would make it borderline unplayable in a format with no super rod.
>>59014548From the discard pile, not deck.To replace a pokémon you don't want to use (like a Lillie's Clefairy when you were forced to start with it but the opponent is not a dragon) or a pokémon with a lot of energies with something that hits hard.Honestly, it looks like an useless card. It would be serviceable if it can be used alone.
Good morning, lost my first match before leaving because of this shitty bug that didn't let me retreat.
