>no Cleffas because starter spawn boosts outnumber it 6 to 1Never getting a good Clefable...
Huh, not bad for a random mega crit on a hungry Ivysaur. Only thing is that now both of my new Honey farmers (+Cutiefly) are ABA, so they need to get to 60.
I was thinking that they reduced Mew spawns, but I think that's just because it was introduced starting in the later half of the week.
slow week, not finding anything interesting so far.
>>59014442I've ONLY gotten starter line pokes. Not helping things is that I got sick right before the Mew event started and haven't been sleeping properly since. I managed to not get Mew on Friday somehow, and missed Good Sleep day because I ended up setting up the tracker right after the rollover
So apparently one Japanese player has already been able to encounter and befriend mew, and so we have its full ingredient list nowOnly interesting things to note are that mew is now our 2nd mono leek mon, as well as our 3rd pokemon capable of farming slowpoke tails naturally, albeit at level 60 ala ditto
>>59014874Nevermind, apparently the Friday one was a glitch and they distributed me a +1 to my sighting count
Finally increased my pot to 75 after months.>75 -> 78 is 200k moreLol. I really don't want to use my dream shard items since they scale with level.
>>59015062That makes sense because Ditto are failed Mew clones. Nice detail.
>>59015062It's pretty much mono-Leek only in theory, as you have to roll each slot against 6-7 others and its individual quantities are limited by Mew's base ingredient strength. Judging by the other quantities, Mew has a slightly higher base strength equal to Beans, whereas Darkrai's is equivalent to Apples.
>>59015933I wonder how his eureka seeds will be distributed.
>>59015933If it's anything like Darkrai, Mew will suck as an ingredient farmer and should not be your priority.Though checking Raenonx, it's the second place Leek farmer behind Farfetch'd, by just a smidge. For all the other ingredients, far better options exist.Apples and beans are two of the weakest ingredients, and quantities of the level 30 and 60 ingredients are usually decided by on the base strength of the first ingredient slot; apparently Mew's default is beans.
>>59016192Mew will most likely be a "Special Appearance Rate" Pokémon alongside Darkrai on New Moon Day events, or maybe alternatively on Good Sleep Day full moon events? The way "Special Appearances" work now, is they are one additional spawn outside of the up to eight from Drowsy Power, the one from an incense, and the one from Good Camp Ticket. This means the maximum possible encounters in one sleep session is eleven Pokémon, with Darkrai being the 11th.This was done so that Darkrai would stop eating your Drowsy Power and influencing the other available spawns; or vice versa not spawn because something else used up a ton of Drowsy Power to appear.
>>59016192>>59016358Honestly I'm not even sure we'll be able to feed Mew normally. They could very well take the current event and just reduce the appearance rate to like once per week and that would already be a progression rate similar to Darkrai (minus any additional feeding).
>>59015933>>59016302can you reroll Darkrai's basic ingredient? I've never tried, now that I think of it.
>>59016712I suppose we'll learn soon enough, when the event's over and done with.>>59017110You can, Darkrai's first ingredient can be changed from sausages. It's just that Darkrai sucks in an ingredient role full stop. That said, the game won't allow you to unlock its level 60 ingredient slot, without unlocking the level 30 slot first. There's a reason to want to do that, simply that it'd be easier to make it a mono-ingredient specialist, since 2/4/6 sausages or 2/6 sausages both average out to 4 sausages per gathering.
Is this large bundle a good buy?
>>59017576This one? Eh... Not really.Candies, Shard Clusters, and Incenses are generally not good as pack filler if you're spending Diamonds. So what you're left with is 3x Ultra Biscuits, 12x Great Biscuits, and the 1x Main Skill Seed. Also your mileage may vary depending on how often you use those buffed biscuits. The best bundles tend to be for the game's anniversary in July, so I'd wait until then for the big bundles. There was also a huge bundle during the last New Year that cost 5,000, but gave you 8x Ultra Biscuits, 25x Great Biscuits, 1x Main Skill Seed, and 1x Sub Skill Seed. Also reminder that you can straight up buy Main Skill Seeds directly from the shop once per month for 800 Diamonds.
In case anyone's interested, I made a 4K upscale of that Mew Snapshot Surprise event artwork. https://files.catbox.moe/pom5sb.pngI've been tinkering with chaiNNer, and experimenting with compositing outputs from different models. In my experience a Waifu2X model remains closest to the truth (most evident when scaling back to original size), whilst other models like foolhardy Remacri or NMKD-Siax, sometimes R-ESRGAN General, can provide good albeit fabricated detail. Therefore, I mask the fabricated upscales using a greyscaled Waifu2X mask, as a constrained way to improve fidelity over the Waifu2X output. I try out lighten and darken blends with the masked layers either as-is or inverted, and see what looks best.It turns out that when either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store host an event image for their app listing, the thumbnails have parameters that are easy to change to get the full resolution PNG. Pic related is from Apple, and ideal for a 1080p monitor.I wish I'd known that for earlier event artworks so I could've archived them or used them for upscales.
Oh, guess that's how someone got a Mew early.
Has anyone paid attention while using a shiny Ditto to notice if it transforms into a shiny version of other teammates? I have one, but the rolls weren't stellar so I've barely used it.
At least this event is doing what it said it would do. Practically every spawn so far has been one of the starters or it's evolutions.
I finally got the last pot upgrade.>can't cook anything newWhat am I even sleeping for?
>>59019413Just think of those 3 ingredients! That's 6 on Sunday!
>>59018893Does it work that way in mainline games? I'm inclined to believe that it wouldn't.
5 open slots lvl 65playing since betaadd me fellows
>>59020892iirc, Ditto copies its target and whether or not it's shiny, regardless of whether or not the Ditto itself is shiny. This is why when you see a transformed Ditto's sleep style, you don't see if it's shiny until it wakes up for feeding time.Pokémon Go operates like this as well. When it first debuted, Ditto's disguises could be shiny whilst the Ditto itself was not shiny, and this was corrected so that its disguises would never be shiny as to avoid disappointing players. On a similar note, wild Zorua disguises itself as your buddy in Pokémon Go; including if it's shiny, has a costume, or if it wears the Best Buddy ribbon. If Zorua and Zoroark were ever introduced to Sleep, they could implement a gimmick where its own sleep style mimics someone in your sleep team; maybe just the team leader.
I'm lucky to have had my list full and stable for a while. It's to be expected for people to randomly drop the game though. Some people I know dropped it because they couldn't track properly due to the physical structure of their sleep area. Another person decided to use a different sleep tracking app altogether.
been running a sleep exp bonus pokemon overnight instead of my e4e, seems to be working out even with the healer having the expert mode debuff
Should have took a screenshot of Neroli's message, but I'll have my Mew tomorrow. Rarenon has its speed and ingredient rate pretty similar to Darkrai, but that's pretty much where the similarities end.
>>59023866I've been running Pawmot during the day most of the time, and Shuckle over night, because the former is level 65 and the latter is only level 53.I'd rather the EXP go into helpers instead of into bonus EXP.Like you say though, main skill buffs this week, and the re-thinking of the skill nerfs as the day progresses, haven't made expert mode feel nearly as bad as it had been.>>59024016Psychic berries aren't as strong as Dark berries, so Mew's likely to be a more skill focused build this time. You also won't be able to run Mew as part of a Cresselia team, due to the rule of "one special Pokémon per team".
Next candy boost event is slated for the Dream Shard week. Can't believe I have a whole slew of options, because I basically just boosted Darkrai for the past several.
>>59024797It also lists Mew's trigger rate being higher, but I'll have to see the actual stats in game to understand how the skill actually works.
Only one Treecko so far this week...
>>59024797>I'd rather the EXP go into helpers instead of into bonus EXPThat’s what I’m doing, while boosting the boosted exp. I’m happy about getting this guy closer to the level cap
>daylight savings timeshid
Finally, a decent catch
>>59026925I wanted to focus on DP gains this week to try for new sleep styles, so I only did sleep EXP maxing on the full moon days.I've hit Master 14 at Sunday lunch with a shot at Master 15 if dinner crits, so that's a nice new PB that got me an Ultra Biscuit too. It's been a decent week, I got the 4* Grovyle, 2* and 3* Feraligatr sleep styles that I'd been missing. I've set a Mawile incense tonight for a chance at the 3* Mawile sleep I need.>>59027756Oh that's more than decent, that's pretty niiice.Exactly what a good Darkrai team needs.
I'm going to guess not everyone's Mew will look like this so it probably gives you the 2nd ingredient slot and first sub skill for free? Randomized of course. And you also get an extra Eureka seed to use. Also Versatile as it's main skill can be rerolled to a different Main Skill effect, but it will always grab a candy when it activates. Apparently the trigger rates vary by main skill type to balance it out a little, so you're not popping 6x charge energy vs 6x berry burst.Power potential is obviously lower than Darkrai, but Mew should still manage to have it's own niche.
>>59028893>bunch of skills not learned yetcan you make mew only learn e4e?
Mew also seems to share New Moon with Darkrai. Whether that be photo bombing or actually appearing to bed fed. I can't say.>>59028916Its main skill starts as Metronome, but you can reroll it with a Eureka seed. Meaning that the skill would be one of the others listed INSTEAD of Metronome. So you can, but I think E4E has a reduced activation rate compared to most other skills.
>>59028893>>59028916>>59028944Also more about Versatile, the description makes it sound like while it won't let you freely swap Main Skills once you've learned them, you may be able to just select one you've already "learned" when using a Eureka Seed. So when unlocking a new skill, you might be able to default to one of your preferred already-learned skills if you don't like the new skill that rolls. And then all the skills you unlocked basically won't be in the pool anymore. So you can eventually unlock them all and just pick at will (at the cost of a Eureka Seed).
>>59029005This sounds over-complicated and worse than just letting it run Metronome. Also that you have to use a eureka seed to not only teach it the main skill, but use another one to change the main skill to one it's already learned, sounds like a pain in the ass.Like Charge Strength M is likely going to be vastly superior to Charge Strength S, but those skills are going to pale in comparison to Energy for Everyone S, Tasty Chance S, or Dream Shard Magnet S (whatever your priorities are). Also the fact that it has access to Charge Energy S is fucking abysmal, that's precisely why Umbreon is low tier in Sleep.
>>59028893Ah, just realized I cut off Berry Burst S, but that's an option too.>>59029322I'm sure it's just more of a long term option. Mew's activation rate seems to be OK, but it's pretty far below actual dedicated skill specialists. An interesting thing to note though, is that Versatile lets you go up to main skill level 8, whereas other skill copy/metronome Pokemon only let you upgrade to level 7. While it won't break the main skill level ceilings, it lets you use level 8 for the skills that have them.
no interesting finds this week, a few sleep styles I guess. Back to grinding Old gold.
>>59028944>Mew might come to sleep again during the New Moon Day #12 eventMarch's New Moon is #11, so Mew appearances will be from April onwards, if you don't happen to befriend Mew during this event. If you're a daily player that should be no issue, this is mostly relevant for new players.>>59030398I missed out on Master 15 since dinner didn't crit, but I've already got a high enough rank to discover all sleep styles at GGEX. I only miss out on potential 3 star sleep for Entei, Suicune, and also Cresselia at Master 16.I'll go back to Amber Canyon next week, the following week for the Dream Shard event I'm thinking of going to Old Gold Power Plant myself.
Hit a new PB on expert mode, kinda kicking myself because I didn't even use a GCT. Crit all 3 meals today as well.
Finally got a crit on my guac and chips after making it for the 6th time. Went from level 17 to 40 or something like that.
Honestly don't know where to go for the next "dead" week. Mew event is still ongoing for the month, so you should still try to push a little to get some extra shards and candies, but you also want to ensure that you can reach a decent number of 3*/4* styles so that you're actually getting as much of a bonus as you can. Shard week starts on the 16th and overlaps with New Moon, so I'll probably save an Expert ticket for then at the very least... Either I go to Taupe to try and fish up an Onix or Larvitar, or head to Expert to boost the area another 5%.Also I capped my Lapis, so now my overflow is going to fuck up my other islands and potentially waste some Area bonus in future weeks (unless I keep spamming Lapis solely to placate that).
>>59031849I'm back at amber, still working on my dragons and area bonus
