Would we get our second batch of news during Summer?
>>59013733considering it's 2027, most likely no. September at the earliest but it really depends on WHEN in 2027 it's coming out
>>59013733I have heard that in July-August we will get a second trailer that shows some more stuff and announces the date for Spring 2027. It’s a very Summery game and they want to drop it right before kids will have their summer breaks. Milotic new form
>>59013733>>59013737The answer depends on if it's early 2027, or late 2027Personally I think it's going to be early 2027, for a lots of reasons. But either way, we'll know for sure if there's a big marketing rush over the year any other gen would have.Pokemon is pretty much THE biggest game Nintendo has right now, and you'd bet your ass they'd want people to know about it if its coming anytime soon
>>59013761Yeah, definitely doesn't feel like your usual November release.
We're not getting anything until next year, like we got nothing for L: Z-A.>"bu-buh muh trailer!"Yeah and look at the roadmap, it was due this year. And now it's not. They already delayed L: Z-A because of Switch 2, I thought it wouldn't have mattered prior, but what if that delay ALSO impacted the smaller form-factor revision they ALWAYS produce to coincide with new system new Gen pokémon releases? The revision unit comes 2 years after the main console launch (as does the new Gen pokémon game) and S2 only dropped June last year. Best you can hope for is a late June or anytime July release, but at the same point with 3 years between Teraleak and 2027, I wouldn't put it past Game Freak pushing it to Holiday window and completely re-doing the plot and story, so Teraleak's worthless to leak season.
>>59014694I don't think they're going to do a Switch 2 Lite. They're going to have enough problems making more Switch 2s with the insane increase in production costs and all tech resources going to AI companies.>>59014670Why? Because of the setting? SM released in November.
>>59015215>i don't think they're going to do [thing they have always done to afford a cheaper option for children (parents) and poors to buy into their Pokémon series in particular and Nintendo series in general]Again, they pushed this for '26 initially. Switch 2 '24, Switch 2 Lite '26 and Pokémon alongside, because they still know most parents won't buy a $500 piece of kit for their kid that isn't a tablet but will buy a $300 handheld. There's also the fact despite folding their portable and home divisions into one console and games production units, their history of handheld gaming STILL shows its DNA as strongly in the Switch 2 as it did in the Switch. And just like the Switch, they'll release a smaller form factor, likely in a range of colours, in time for WW, which will also likely have an exclusive branded Lite version bundled with the game for sale too.
>>59014694>muh patterns
>>59014694>>59015311>Switch 2-lite headcanonFor fucks sakes anon, the original Switch 2 isn't even a year old yet
>>59015592Fuck's sake anon, they release a new kid-focused revision for their consoles EVERY Generation. Game Boy got a handful, due to Pokémon's success, GBA got the SP, DS got its Lite, 3DS NEEDED a 2DS due to risk of damaging very young children's eyesight and the Switch its Lite form one month before Pokémon dropped Sword and Shield. BE a retarded little faggot all you want. And of them, everything since the DS lite appeared on sale before Pokémon hit market (with 2DS dropping on the very same day Pokémon did). S2 Lite IS happening. Regardless what idiots want to assume.
>>59013737Which is exactly why it was a bad idea to reveal as much information as they did. Showing the starters if the game isn’t coming out for at least a year was a bad move on their part. In this case, less would’ve been more.
I just want the box legends
>>59015824While that may be true, it's not happening this soon after release of the base console, the Switch-lite didn't release until 3 years after the original did, and it had more omph in its library by then. The Switch 2 in compairson, while doing well, doesn't have a true system seller yet in case Pokemon's development is really going to take that long (it won't btw, it's damn near finished already)
>>59016871Next trailer
>>59016871Wavy and WindychuSurprise
>>59016993I'd actually be okay with that, the last couple of box legendary pairs have been very forced
>>59016905>this soon after release of the base consoleYeeeah, which is why it's more likely Pokémon isn't happening for a while yet, than it launching before the povvo unit. Given they tied sales of povvo units to Pokémon launches when they released the revisions before then dropping Pokémon to drive sales of said. And funnily enough, Switch Lite appeared about 2 1/2 years after Switch, 2 1/2 years after Switch 2's June '25 release is strangely around winter '27....And L:Z-A was "damn near finished" when we got Teraleak, it still took them another year to release it to the public.
>>59013733As always (with SwSh and SV at least), we'll get a second trailer in June which reveals the box legendaries, release date, and then pre-orders open up.The marketing cycle will be extended rather than delayed (nowadays they usually dont reveal most of the new pokemon, so perhaps they'll just reveal a larger chunk).Z-A had radio silence for a year because it was genuinely not in a state that could be shown yet, and also there wasn't enough to actually market since the only exciting headline things they had were a handful of new megas. That initial trailer was a teaser that provided no information on the game other than the fact it existed (essentially a "we are working on a game please look forward to us actually announcing it"), while Winds and Waves' reveal trailer was a full on trailer in the same style as the SwSh or SV reveal trailers.SV also ended its initial reveal trailer with "releasing late 2022", while the WW trailer just said "releasing 2027", so I don't think they're doing a standard November release this time, for whatever reasons they may have (needing more dev time, dodging GTA, strategically placing it to not interfere with unannounced Nintendo Exclusives, etc.)
>>59017903"for a while" We literally don't know when it's releasing or why it's not releasing this year. It's not unheard for TPCi to do this kind of thing, PLA was delayed and released in January, ZA was delayed explictly because of the Switch 2. And we still don't know what else Nintendo has this year, at least nothing on Pokemon's level. Also you're really banking on there even being a Switch 2-lite when the console isn't even that old yet, and yet to firmly establish a library in the same way the Switch 1, to say nothing about the Switch 2 being a far more complex piece of hardware than the Switch 1 ever was, if there ever is a Switch 2 it's naturally going to take WAY more time. Also if the terraleak is anything to go by, GF and TPCi have the next 5 fucking years of the franchise to think about. While it's nice they slowled it down a little, I don't think it's as much as people think
That is logical.
>>59017945>ZA was delayed explictly because of the Switch 2And WW will be delayed until S2 Lite's ready for launch. And they told uz that too, remember? Not as if they haven't form for announcing a game for next year, then TAKING that fucking next year before launching it (L: Z-A, remember??). Taking EVERYTHING into consideration, the most correct and likely scenario IS a fucking year and a half delay. You also don't know if Game Freak gutted the project after teraleak and kept just the bare minimum for it (region, mechanics, legends, pokémon, etc) while re-tooling the rest (wouldn't be the first time and wouldn't be the first time they did so and delivered a game 2 1/2 years later either). They were aiming for '26 (Switch '24 release, 2-2 1/2 years between console release and game release, 2 1/2 years for the revision unit's production), they've now changed and with no sign of any tangible or game-critical issues plauging it, the best guess is because they're waiting on time to pass until the NDA's for the revision expire and they can then start marketing their game series in preparation. Like I said, as soon as they run a proper reveal trailer and show off the box legends, the new system will be revealed for launch presently (SS box legends got revealed June 2019, Switch Lite revealed July 2019).
>>59017945>and yet to firmly establish a library in the same way the Switch 1, to say nothing about the Switch 2 being a far more complex piece of hardware than the Switch 1 ever wasAnd they're not banking on Pokémon to do that. Nintendo are as much involved in release dates and in fact set the dates to aid shilling their fucking systems to people and are cofortable and confident in pushing it back to '27. But as they also made the smaller revision units that they then released before Pokémon, it's no wonder they'd be content with pushing it back (in essence potentially "hampering" S2's winter '26 performance), most likely as they have a smaller form factor Switch 2 baking in the oven to unleash upon the world on top of new Pokémon.
>>59018064>>59018086Again, you are assuming a LOT, and a LOT of thins we simply don't fucking know. While it's not impossible I really fucking doubt TPCi/Nintendo are going to delay WiWa almot 2 fucking years when it's almot done, espeically with so many more projects needing to get done so not to affect the pipleline including DLC, or did you forget the TCG and anime were factors in all this? All this is hinging of an imaginary Switch 2-lite for all we know might not even happen given everything else happening in the world right now. While nothign you said is outright impossible, I really fucking doubt even half the shit you are saying is even a factor
>>59018115I'm making reasoned deductions, backed by over 20 years of historical data. You're the one making a giant assumption they won't release a revision, when every last new gen in the last 20 years launched AFTER a revision unit. Because smaller+cheaper = more likely for parents to buy their kids (or the majority of Pokémon's adult audience to be able to afford to buy in).
>>5901832620 years of historical data, and you couldn't even bothered to remember the last 5/6. And sure, if Nintendo could make a cheaper Switch 2 model and had it out the door, I imagine they would, but in the present moment its hard enough to maintain the production of the models they have now given the "econmic conditions" globally, so relying on past data is faulty at best and give a false narrative. Now I'm not saying it's impssible, but given the currend state of things I find it very unlikely TPCi or Nintendo would push back one of their biggest games, and system seller on a whim like this
>>59018115And source on it being "almost done"? Newsflash you ignorant bastard, L: Z-A only needed the side quests added to its Teraleak build and it was ready to launch. It took an entire year from Teraleak AND 1 year and 2/3rds from announcement for it to launch. every chance it happens similarly. Because TPC don't decide shit regarding Nintendo's release schedule and Nintendo order Pokémon for their systems, to work in concert with THEIR own releases (which is why they appear after, or with in one case, the system revision). They appear when Nintendo wish them to (part of their contract with game Freak for game production) I do find it hilarious /vp/ sperged long and hard about pokéon "needing to take more time" yet the first time they seem to do that, the entire place loses their collective minds and grasps for ANY possibility the delay is mere months instead of taking another full actual year to work on the game (again, it's "finished" per 2024. Switch 2 got delayed and, critically, Game Freak got hacked. There's a non-zero chance they're re-tooling it and using the extra time afforded by the delay to do so, to sideline any potential clout Teraleak had regarding Gen 10 save broad strokes)
>>59018356Nintendo and TPCi don't tend to reveal games unless they're damn near finished. This is a general rule they've been consistent with since the very start of the Switch era, a few exceptions like TotK and MP4 notwithstanding. ZA likewise was also an exception, but mostly because of the Switch 2 around the corner throwing a slight wrench into things. WiWa is far closer to completion than ZA was just by the trailer. Again, Nintendo and TPCi don't push games back so willy nilly, and doubly so when the reveal is so close to being done.
>>59018352What do you mean "the last 5/6" I told you each hardware jump (GBA SP came after as did the GB efforts, due to Pokémon actually reviving the system) up to today, with Switch Lite launching the month before SS did. We seemingly had a delay to the system's intended timeline ('24 release lines with '26 Pokémon per that roadmap, as that's 2-ish years from system launch to Lite/Pokémon release) meaning a SIMILAR delay to the Lite and subsequently to Pokémon (because Nintendo set release dates for all their shit AND ensured they had a smaller revision system ready to launch the year of Pokémon). You can be the dumb bitch all you want. But much like knowing with certainty they'd shit out a DP remake in Gen 8, I know they're going to produce a smaller Switch 2 for the impending release closer to the actual date (whenever that happens to be).
>>59018378Yeah, except they did a reveal similar in scope to SV, then dismissed it until next year. Like I said, expecting it sooner's folly when the last time they said "Next year" they MEANT next year. But at the same point, if/when they DO start going into it (being generous, it ain't launching in january. L: A only launched then because BDSP was a thing, narrowing when it could feasibly be revealed with box legends/etc), expect a smaller console announcement closer to the time (assuming you're not plugged into the wider gaming scuttlebutt network and pick up the hints earlier).
>>59018394And that means jackshit. Whatever was going on with the GBA or DS or whatever has nothing to do with how things are handled now, it's different hardware and much different gaming and economic climate. You are banking on the idea of a Switch 2 when we're not sure how feasible that actually is for Nintendo at the moment and if they shouldn't just double their efforts on the current model, which seems to be working out for them. Also you're still ignoring how the TCG and anime would be effected by this, which also need time to properly organize their respective productions for the new generation.
>>59018416And the SV was heavily criticized for being buggy and unfinished...because it was buggy and unfinished, clearly TPCi isn't above throwing a game out into the wild when they have the chance, or at least they didn't then. And BDSP is a non-factor, it was literally an obligation for them that otherwise would've had PLA fill in that place, the simple fact of the matter is PLA was delayed a few months. Now this isn't confirmed, but given Nintendo's silence on their November slate and likely shifting dates around, Pokemon likely was intended to released in November this year, but was pushed back due to GTA6, and while you can say its aiming for a different audience, that doesn't change the fact it will be the single most talked about game the month of its release and probably for the next couple of months, something that would harm Pokemon espeically from what we've seen of being the grand step forward everyone has been begging for. That says to me, they're pushing it back, but so far back as to miss the financial year. So early 2027 makes the most senseBecause again, the idea of a new model of the Switch 2 seems too far out there, and even if it isn't, there's no reason why the WiWa DLC can't functionally serve the same purpose to help sell it that holiday season, like what SWSH and SV's did.
>>59018422Means everything numbnuts. It's sad you can't see that, but it's gonna be hilarious watching you retards melt down in real time because the games you demanded "take more time", take more time till Nintendo's ready to launch *their* system revision for *their* kid-focused moncap kiddy RPG. And they'll earn more sales of those at either summer holidays (Japan) or winter holiday gift-giving season. Buckle up bitch, it's going to be a bumpy ride for you cunts.
