Like i've already saved more than enough for one unit but ideally i would like to get a second console to hit my sweet spot : One for homebrew piracy and one for legit online play so i was wondering if its worth it to start saving for a second switch2 right now
>>
The fact every old nugen dataminer faggot is announcing their retirement from the scene should tell you hopes are dead in the water. The scene suffered a brain drain on top and outside a known vulnerability to fiddle with, it seems unlikely it'll just *be cracked*, let alone in time for Pokémon.
>>
Very unlikely.
>No known hardware or software exploits
>Previous set of dataminers are retiring, with nobody to replace them
>The rampant piracy on the Switch revved up Nintendo's lawyers, who went on the offensive against major emulator creators, discouraging them from even touching the Switch 2
I can't even begin to describe how damaging Kotaku's article telling people how to pirate Metroid Dread and the catastrophe with everyone pirating Tears of the Kingdom a full week early was. Nintendo was PISSED.

I'm not buying it anyway.

None.
Reality is that Nintendo took their security very seriously after shitfest that was 3DS lack of any meaningful protection... which in part was fault of Nintendo themselves and almost ended for them with massive legal fuck up when people realized that for a long while their servers were absolutely unprotected and you could easily download shit for free directly from Nintendo.
>>
Best I can do is some zoomer trooner who breaks the system 3 years from now and shares the exploit for a profit on a private Discord server for 5 months until someone who is bitter about the identity of the person who found the exploit then intentionally learning of the exploit who then turns it into Nintendo alongside the server.
>>
>>59015162
>Previous set of dataminers are retiring, with nobody to replace them

I thought SciersM was the only significant one in the scene who retired recently
>>
It'll be fine. In no particular order tuxsh, fincs, hexkyz, ctcaer, etc etc are still around
>>
>>59015122
100% chance, there was no incentive to hack the switch 2 until now
>>
>>59015195
the PS4 is cracked open and the PS5 is months away from CFW, if Sony cant tighten up their consoles I really doubt Nintendo can
>>
>>59015340
>the PS4 is cracked open
Yeah, after 13 years of it being uncracked.
>>
>>59015340
Sony are a conglomerate who don't really give a shit about the security of their consoles (PSN hack), Nintendo are a company who's majority products are consoles and games to play on them. The security of their shit is PARAMOUNT to attempting to generate the maximum amount of profit to reduce the unofficial ways of playing their shit (requiring a buy-in from people wanting to play as an option to their current entertainment options). I'd bet more on Nintendo taking both 3DS AND Switch pricay/emulation as personal affronts and taking steps to crack down as hard as possible on the potential for it happening with Switch 2. They managed to release a patch that fixed a hardware level exploit at one stage n(which no-one thought possible), before the exploit was broken open a different way again to continue the piracy, they ain't fucking stupid.
>>
>>59015326
>actually thinks the hacking scene revolves around Pokemon
Switch 1 got hacked before we even knew it would have Pokemon, and all the hacked consoles before that didn't even have Pokemon games. Everyone knew the Switch 2 would eventually get gen 10 anyway.

People need to be ready to accept that this is going to be a different era.
>>
>>59015387
>they ain't fucking stupid
lol, lmao, rofl
>>
>>59015400
>People need to be ready to accept that this is going to be a different era.
An era where games are $80, are filled with AI slop, and are just reclyced ideas. You make a $400 system using 5 year old hardware to sell me AI upscaled Xenoblade X? Fuck off
>>
>>59015400
"People" today have grown up with R4 cards and 3DS emulators, they're not only unready, they're totally ignorant of what exactly this Gen will entail. No full datasets of available pokémon, no listings of gym leaders, rivals, or E4/champion(s) or their teams, no info on new cities, places or things added or abilities moves or the gimmick. It's almost serendipity in the game celebrating the series 30th anniversary, everyone will be entering it as the world did in Gen 1 30 years ago, with no utter idea of what awaited them inside the game world. It's going to be glorious, but at the same point, the spergs are going to try and shit all over that.
>>
Switch 1's vulnerability was pure luck, they haven't even managed to get a software exploit going on the lite/v2/oled
It's never going to happen
>>
>>59015418
Pokeli will upload the Final boss on day 1
>>
>>59015418
Wtf why
>>
>>59015418
>when XY launched and people were guesstimating the new mons' stats by comparing them to the old ones
>the collective disappointment when someone ran into cresselia in the battle maison and confirmed it wasn't retyped to fairy
Kino. Can't wait to experience it again.
>>
>>59015422
Yeah, speedrunner streamer speds will be showing the game live from 12AM Kiwi time, so what? Povvos and emutards won't be able to play it on day -15 like the last handful of generations. Fuck's sake man,*I* picked up BW's leaked nip file after the exp fix patch to see what it was like (instead of watching some faggot play it like a streamer faggot) and that was after its "official" release, but illegally in my territory as they hadn't got it localised or released. This is the point you're missing, any shitbag who gets the game early can not in fact palm off any extracted dumped files for the internet to get their hands on. Meaning early sale game info will drive interest in the new things and limit the amount of people who can see it for free.
>>
>>59015445
I can't wait to softlock my character after saving
>>
>>59015426
Because the Switch 2 isn't hacked, thus they can't just scrape the games for information any more. Seeing you're firmly in the "unready" bracket, judging by reaction.
>>
>>59015446
>emutards
Tbf, you'd need a very strong pc to emulate switch 2 anyway
>>
>>59015422
Nothing anyone can do about that. But that's normal, really.
>>
>>59015418
>>59015452
They'll just get the info from breached street dates or whatever wasn't revealed from teraleak
>>
>>59015531
Yes, but will be spotty, incoherent and in no way illuminate of any wifi events, exclusive evolutions or features. In fact, to glean the MOST understanding, people will have to wait until day one and game launch to then collaboratively explore the world, rather than wait for some sperg to get the game files, do the monkey work of extracting and understanding them then passing out the information for others to re-publish day one (because we never got early info after SS, they got scared off by Nintendo pulling leaker 'tards to court and they adamantly sticking to their namefag credentials).

Pokemon stats will probably be datamined from Champions instead.
In fact, in Champions is meant to be gen 10 compatible from day 1, we could very well have the whole pokedex datamined before the game comes out, depending on when the update rolls out.
>>
>>59015678
>Champions is meant to be gen 10 compatible from day 1
On a technical sense possibly, but WiWA won't get Home support Day 1. So Champions doesn't need to be updated immediately
It also doesn't even accept all current mons
>>
If you plan to just buy a second one and keep it in storage hoping for an eventual hack you may as well go ahead and buy it already, but don't expect it to happen any time soon.

grim

I wish I only had to pay 500 dollaridoos...

The anubis guy did too, and I think someone else

How many poorfags will go without playing the new pokemon for the first time since what? Since literally Pokemon was made? Pretty sure every single mainline game was able to be pirated on release.

Poorfags must be seathing with pure rage right now. Even if it's still a year away the poorfags will not have $500 + $70 + tip in time for WiWa
>>
>>59015874
+$70-$80 for the game
let's not even mention the $20 online and the $40 DLC expansion pass

I still haven't played scatvomit even though I could emulate it with improvement mods. I just don't care anymore. Wii U water and shading possible on a PS3 released in 2006 isn't enough to convince me to play Gen 10 yet.
>>
Are you guys actually gonna spend $500 + tip on a switch 2 just to play pokemon? I want to play the new pokemon game but I literally don’t care about any other switch game so it’s hard for me to justify getting a whole new console just for this.
>>
>>59016771
I wouldn't be worried, we still have another year or so before release. Might take another modchip like the updated Switch 1, but there is plenty of time.
>>
>>59016854
No, I bought my Switch 2 to play Switch 2 games, but also knew Pokémon would release exclusively on it in time anyway.
>>
>>59016854
I boughteded a Switch 2 back in november during a black friday deal just for gen 10. Now it's a 2027 release so I have to just sit and wait. Oh well, at least it was a good deal.
>>
>>59015122
It's possible there's already a crack that's just not going to be made public until there's a huge amount of Switch 2's on the market but that's obviously pure speculation for "best-case-scenario"
Even the base Switch sorta became unhackable in a sense after the revisions. Nintendo cracked down even harder on Switch 2, but as I was saying, even if anyone did something, they'd likely be hiding it and waiting until there's as many vulnerable systems out there as possible.
>>
>>59015122
Same as getting stellar blade trully cracked next month, in other words 0 because your gen are too lazy and stupid to do something while most of the wizards are dying or retired so won't crack shit.
>>
>>59016777
But you aren't complaining of paying 90 dollars for a kusoge on your gaystation 5 plus the 60 dollars extra for the online.
