I remember I was really confused when they first introduced this character why they had a brown person in the pokemon show. I was 9 years old and back then we hadn’t been conditioned yet to seeing brown people on tv like how they are in every other commercial now. I couldn’t understand why they made her this way especially when the previous pokegirls were hella fine. Was it really just to go with the theme of “black and white”?
