To this day, nothing has ever come over to reaching the sheer comfy soul as the Pokemon TCG GBC duology. I suspect it's largely because of the OST, but the laidback setting that takes itself just seriously enough while still not taking itself all that seriously scratches a particular itch for me. Closest thing for me is the old Medarot games, but PokeTCG even beats those by having travel be as snappy and straightforward as it is.
