Why doesn't every region have teams trying to create new evolutions for Porygon? Realistically scientists would be making dozens of new Porygon evolutions every year.
>>59038113Because Porygon must play the eternal patsy for Pikachu's crimes
Gamefreak mindbroke Porygon as punishment for his crimes
>>59038148In a world where he wasn't, Porygon would be what Rotom is now.Loaded onto every PC, every phone, managing all the boxes.I like to imagine there's some niche group in the world of pokemon who use Porygon like a Linux distro so they don't have to put up with the Rotom company.
Porygon Z is unstable, and no one dared to try again
>>59038113Only people in Johto and Sinnoh had any brains, the rest are streamers or some retarded shit like that
>>59038113They would but Rotom took that spot.
>>59038229Original Porygon program was held together by duct tape and glue and no one knew how it worked. Only that it did work. Porygon 2 was successful but it is difficult to tamper with the code further without it all falling apart.
>>59038113>Realistically'tis a video game
realistically, you wouldn't be able to catch porygon anymore and would instead have to pay $19.99 pokedollars a month to keep access to it (extra $44.99 if you want the AI-powered Porygon2 integration)
>>59038113Aether was working on a porygon form for UB research, but Wicke kept using it to capture shotas so it had to be scrapped
>>59038201Because he's from an older gen with more sovl, I think they would be way more creative about porygon and how people would use him than they are about Rotom
>>59038735I guess that's not as bad as arcade coins
>>59038726realistically you would get raped tho
>>59038201At least they already have a nice mascot
>>59038159https://youtu.be/71iImE0_1kg
>>59039243What would you install Porygon into?>>59038735I hate cloud computing.Older software you bought on a disc used to come with a perpetual license. You just kept the serial numbers and put them in whenever you needed to install it on a new computer.Porygon would be more like that.
>>59040957>What would you install Porygon into?US military data bases
>>59041010Porygon might be too advanced to work on 8-inch floppy discs.
>>59038148This. Epilepsy and earthquakes are the bane of this franchise.
>>59038148Pikachu did nothing wrong either, it's just some jap kids being weak
>>59041840>and earthquakesWhat did those do?
Im happy they acknowledged this.
>>59043422I think a big earthquake just happened to happen when the anime aired some episode with lot of earthquake(the attack) action. Ever since then they havent used the move in the show.
>>59043422
>>59043459>>59043669Huh, so they still haven't used Earthquake years later even if it's one of the best moves
>>59038113Competency crisis, that's what you get when you have morons who become streamers or rappers or maybe even worse
>>59038113Porygon evolutions infringe upon IP
>>59038201a penguin evo for porygon would be absolute and total kino for this reason
>>59038113Why is Porygon normal type and not electric?
>>59038201I hate that the Poryphone is locked to the shitty mastersex phone game.I'd be ecstatic if Prygon got a larger role in future games. Hell, I'd be praising GF if they made an updated PorygonZ or an alt third evolution that wasn't insane/corrupted.When I went to Japan last year, out of the five pokemon centers I visited, only one had a porygon plush (which had labelling for a limited event that wasn't even on any more). It now lives on the headboard of my bed alongside Tokyo Station train driver and both of the Kyoto Kimono Pikachus
>>59044520nice, that could also end up branching out a lot
>>59044569I really, really, really want a Mega Porygon-Z that’s just a hard MissingNo reference. The color scheme is already there, you just take PoryZ and make him flicker in and out via static and let his contorting poses give him the L shape now and again in his idle. Give him a unique ability “memory overflow” that causes the effects of his held item to apply twice (if possible) as a reference to the item dupe glitch.
>>59044569What, it can't be used anywhere else just because masters had it?
>>59038113Did that seizure episode in the anime ruin Porygon?
>>59043669Giovanni did nothing wrong
>>59045938it shouldn't have, would've just been natural selection at work
>>59045931It was made for a mobile game. How often do they take shit from spin-offs and put them into the mainline games?
>>59044508worse like "influencers"
>>59045941Porygon did nothing wrong either
>>59044569The fact that Porygon-Z exists and HASN'T been used for exploring Hyperspace Wormholes that vomit out Z-Power is mind boggling to me.It's right there. It's right fucking there in its name: Z.It's a pokemon made to explore other dimensions. It should be all up in every Ultra Beast's business, it should be harassing the piss out of Giratina in its distortion world, it should be bumming around with the Unown making Arceus give it weird looks.
>>59038113Branching evolution Porygon3 (real) with ray tracing and super reflective textures
>>59038201What I hate the most about those rotom forms is they're not even usable in battles. And don't give me shit like "it's a bike, how would it battle" when there's a fan with levitate you can whip out.
>>59038113Porygon would be perfect for hacking or protecting digital infrastructure. Modifying its code allows for all kinds of alterations, making it a potential (anti-)virus. Too bad hackers never realized this possibility, as Arceus made sure that no living being would ever conceive these thoughts, following a reality-altering incident involving an electric rat. The only other pokemon capable of interacting with cyberspace would be Rotom, though it tends to take over a device, making it its body rather than a realm to traverse and operate in. Which a Porygon could conveniently exploit. >>59047483>it's a bike, how would it battleramming your opponents at high speeds is always an option>>59047380Has "Z" a special meaning in Japanese culture? Another example I can think of would be Dragon Ball Z.
>>59047623My best guess is that "Z" is the last letter of the English alphabet and the Japanese use it for things that should be the ending.Dragon Ball Z was presumably given the Z because it was meant to be the final arc of Dragon Ball, but then it wasn't and dragged on.Porygon-Z is the final evolution of Porygon. As for Z-Power, I have no idea why they named it that. Maybe Z for Necrozma? But the in-universe characters giving it that name didn't know about Necrozma when they named it Z-Power, did they?
>>59047623>Has "Z" a special meaning in Japanese culture? Another example I can think of would be Dragon Ball ZIt's like omega, the last letter of an exotic alphabet that's a symbol of something ultimate or a final form.
>>59038113There was probably some law pasted to stop it for ethical reasons.
>>59044521Because it is not like Rotom. It is a 3D printed creature. I guess it is made out of plastic ?
>>59044521Because it's not effected by ghosts and takes super effective damage from fighting types
>>59048547some law against inducing siezures or you mean in-universe?
>>59048579Is it 3D printed though?Computer generated, yes, but 3D printed back in the 1990s?
>>59047623Porygon-Z is a 1337-sp33k spelling of Porygon2, he’s supposed to be a glitchy warez/modded version of Porygon, which is why it’s the same model but broken (inverted head and body) and why you need a “dubious disc” to upgrade to him. The Z has nothing to do with the usage in Z-moves (which probably do use it because it feels “ultimate” as the last letter)
Porgyon's next form should be based on the internet, it's really the only place you can go after Porygon2.
>>59038113Only those worthy of finding the road to the Hyperboreans may hug a Porygon. Tropical shitholes need not apply
>>59038113I like the sounds it makes
>>59049645Probably the same way you withdraw Pokemon from a PC
>>590501582 heads might be interesting
>>59049044In-universe. Porygon Z is an illegal upgrade, after all. You technically shouldn't even be allowed to use it in official league battles.
>>59047483At the very least, Pokopia seems to be implying we'll finally be getting a new battle-eligible Rotom form in WW, they specifically bothered giving Stereo Rotom a brand new type and physical attributes despite not being a game with battles or having any relevance in that regard.
>>59053170No one's ever given a shit about morally dubious modifications to Pokemon in-universe in mainline Pokemon anyway unless it's someone like Team Rocket causing it, else Cara Liss would've been jailed for facilitating the creation of incorrectly restored abominations that can barely function without extreme degrees of human care and maintenance.
>>59053237why is it bad when team rocket does it but not the protag?
>>59053252Because otherwise you might make the kiddins think they're the bad guy for wanting the freaky fish head on a dragon body that rapes everything with Fishious Rend, including mons that should tank the hit due to dual-resisting water moves.
>>59038201>secret/new porygon box mechanic (or replacement for the rotom shit) as a reference to linux vs windowsCould be a fun way to go about things even if a lot of linux users can be a bit obnoxious.
>>59053356You got told to rtfm, didn't you
>>59053356someone didn't check the man page before asking
