You're emotional about your own generalizations of other people's opinions lol. Nickit is exceptionally cute and promising. Thievul is on all fours but is also a facialhairmon. It's a little ugly and boring. Nickit deserves a split evo. A lot of people complain about curvy suggestive bipedal mons becoming more standard because it heavily clashes with the early gen monster designs and setting. Thievul has an Arsene Lupin theme going on, so I kept turn of the century French themes in Femthievul's styling. The tail is trying to look like a particularly poofy dress hem rather than a duster. (An ostrich feather would be appropriate too, I think I decided that an un-drawn Nickit variant would have that.) I deemed kabuki style mouth makeup (to replace the mustache) and karakusa pattern on the mask to be appropriate due to heavy Japanophilia in France during the same era.
