Tell me one good reason you're still using Fire types on your team when they're outclassed by Fighting types in every way>oh but what about Grass and BugYou're already gonna have a mon on your team using Fly
>>59046195>playing the meta>in the easiest jrpg in the world
>>59046199Final Fantasy 4 is probably easier than most Pokemon games
>using the fighting type goy! who needs a fire mon anywaysinnoh propaganda
>>59046195it's not rocket science if people prefer the cool fire dog over the ugly man in a speedo
I want something that resists Ice and isn't weak to Psychic
>>59046233you ever heard of the steel type
>>59046245there's only one of those in Kanto and it has a type overlap with the Electabuzz I'm already using
>>59046195Nigger there’s ghosts EVERYWHERE the fuck you mean
>>59046195because i want to have sex with victini>You're already gonna have a mon on your team using Flythis is actually kind of a problem for me with pokemon is that i never wanna use flying types, so i end up having a flyslave in the pc that i have to shuffle out, fly, then box again in quite a few playthroughs
why not just get 4 alakazams if you want to be gay?
>>59046195I use fire fighting types>Blaziken
>>59046204I'd argue 6 is easier than 4, but I digress.Unlike Final Fantasy, however, Pokemon is designed to be easy specifically because it spoils the player of choice. 100+ different creatures to pick from for your team and the devs didn't want to stonewall you into using only the best ones because the game is about the journey you make for yourself with the favorites you pick along the way (something many ROMhack devs fail to understand).
>There has literally never been a game where Machamp is actually goodPoint and laugh, fellas
>>59046204>>59046394Not really a JRPG guy but Final Fantasy always felt super difficult. I've only played 1 (NES, GBA), 3 (DS), and 7 (Steam) and never got far in any of them.I've heard you lose party members and are forced to use completely different parties at certain points in 6. Doesn't that make it way harder for the average Pokemon fan?
>>59046424It really depends on the entry. Some are obviously easier than others.>1 (NES)The game is almost as buggy as Pokemon Red/Blue, if you could believe that, with cryptic mechanics, mechanics that don't work as intended, and mechanics that are so broken they fuck the player in ways they'd never imagine.>3 (DS)Literally notorious for being one of the hardest ports of one of the hardest entries.>I've heard you lose party members and are forced to use completely different parties at certain points in 6.Yes but the punishment for dying is almost nonexistent. You warp back to your latest save point with story progress reset but you keep all the EXP you gained since then. Almost no different from whiting out in a Pokemon game. Most of the FF6 party members are also so outrageously OP that it doesn't matter what composition you're using.
>>59046428FF1's bugs are pretty nasty compared to RBY, since I don't think there's a single one that actually works in your favor. There's no instant-recharge Hyper Beams to be found in FF1, just shit that doesn't work or does that opposite of what it claims to.
>>59046447True, though most of that is due to the player playing by different rules compared to enemies, as opposed to Pokemon where both sides play by the same rules (in theory, though we know opponent Pokemon cheat like hell in R&B).FF1 has the Peninsula of Power at least.
>>59046195This has not been my experience, fighting types always get walled and are only useful with coverage like Earthquake because of their high attack. Fighting type Pokemon are fine but Fighting type attacks are some of the worst in the game, they feel like Normal types. Fire type attacks are like laser beams cutting through the game and fire type Pokemon are cool. Lastly Fighting type Pokemon show up mid to late game. Fire type Pokemon show up mid game or a little earlier. I use Fighting type Pokemon but I pray for good movesets because they have some of the worst.
>>59046394I'd argue it's the opposite, the reason FF4 is probably the easiest JRPG maybe ever? is because of how little choice it gives you. It's kind of impossible to fuck up in that game when builds are incredibly static, money is so plentiful that you never really need to make choices on what equipment to buy and everyone except for Rosa is basically locked to one single command (that being their strongest attacks)FF6 is certainly easier if you know how to break it but at least there you also get the option not to and have a variety of ways in which you can customize your party and individualize the characters to your liking for better or for worse, same thing with Pokemon.
>>59046195I'm not gay so I'd rather raise cool fire animals than muscular dudes
>>59046195I’m sorry DPPt has dogshit distribution anon.
