I got it cause I wanted to shiny hunt deoxys, couldn't force myself to make it past the third badge.
Replayed the game on emu when the switch releases were announced because I didn't have much memories of these games. Maybe my memories of gen 3 as a whole are conflated because of Emerald, but FRLG is pretty mediocre.
