I don't want them to change Paras, because he is one of the few relic's of darker storytelling left from pokemon's early years. I really appreciate the cubone and paras dialogues. definitely designed to stab long time fan's in the heart. Darkest form of fanservice. At the same time I wish they spelled it out more what was going on. Like, parasect is still a loyal pokemon, in some way it isn't changing. To add to that, evolution isn't simply aging. A pokemon can live indefinitely without evolving. It might be a fun twist to make a variant of paras without the mushroom to be hyper aggressive. Everyone thinks that paras is a cutesy bug and its the evil parasite mushroom that is the problem.Shroomless Parasect being an even more agressive souless murder machine could be fun.
