Favorite fake/fan-made types? Any you think would work well in the games? Any that would be retarded in the games but are still cool?I always liked the idea of a "Beast" type. Falls somewhere between Normal, Fighting, and Dark. Give it to stuff like Primeape, Lycanroc, Mabosstiff.
>>59050644a lot could probably be done with a "magic" type
>>59050644Rubber/Slime type
>>59050644I still think Gen 6 should have introduced a Cosmic type instead of Fairy
>>59050644I like the idea of Pure [Type] where both resistances and weaknesses are doubled. You get a STAB bonus or something offensively i dunno.
>>59051374magic type would apply to the majority of pokemons given how their movesets can get pretty bullshitty
>>59052387this numale doesn't realize 'martial' derives from 'Mars' which entails Greco-Roman mythology, which is a no-go for this
>>59050644I've seen "Regal/Royal-type" floating around here and there online, and I quite like the idea of it.
Probably a "cosmic" type, which you see sometimes. Or an "air" or "wind" type.
>>59050644sound type for me
>>59052422Yeah but "Lighting" comes from "Lig(a)tus", the roman god of thunder, rain, and chains, derived from ancien greek Migeatua, a montain in boetia who was frequently hit by lightings.
>>59052653how did the m become L?
>>59052663The beotian acvent was peculiar: their "m" was a soft one, un unlike in the rest of greece and in latin so it often became an "l" at the start of names (like "Lampedusa" form the greek "maphebea"
>>59052422what a silly thing to say
>>59050644Soundfags areso retarded
>>59050644Calling a type "null" doesn't work when type: null exists, but a type that doesn't interact with the other types would be a neat gimmick. Since the battle system is rock/paper/scissors the idea of throwing out nothing is funny to me. There's probably a fancy work for "nothing" that I'll think of as soon as I hit post so let's call it zero type for now. The next time tera typing is in a game having that as extra gimmick could work.
>>59053145Voidalso it DOES already have that as a gimmick, Stellar.
>>59053245Ignoring stellar does super effective damage against tera types, and retains it's own defensive typings... I'm talking about a type that literally removes all that. It's super effective against nothingIt's resists nothingIt's immune to nothing.I'd even have it have no type moves so it never even gets stab. I'd also say void implies things that aren't applicable here, but whatever.
>>59052387
>>59053269>and retains it's own defensive typings...really? I thought it made you neutral to everything
>>59053305Nope, you keep all weaknesses of the original type(s) plus now a 2x weakness to other stellar type attacks.
>>59052422>numalehow taint-rotted is your brain? this generation is doomed
>>59050644Sound type definitely, maybe Cosmic type although I think it's a bit pointless these days since the Fairy type was introduced. I'd like to see the "???" type for Pokémon like Porygon, Mewtwo, Ditto, Deoxys
>>59050644>Hate TypeA hate gym would just be a gym full of /vp/ posters
>>59050644cool/beauty/smart/tough/cute should have been rolled into the type system as soon as they were added. Even if they acted different to normal types.
>>59053786Like an additional element that factors into damage/type calculations? What beats what then?
>>590538595-way RPS works so just add that
>>59053269That's called typeless and it does exist. If a pure Fire-type uses Burn Up then it becomes typeless.
>>59053885Yeah and pawmot has the electric version of the move, it's why I thought it should be a full mechanic. That and the tera type situation where you can predict your opponents change and fuck them anyways. Feels a bit useless since you still take stab damage, but there's ways I can imagine spicing the concept up.
>>59051942jelly...
>>59050644The only ones here I like and could see work are Rubber, Wizard/Cosmic (kind of the same thing), and the Ancient type
>>59052722thx
