I'm more interested in the Superawakening candies than I am on the banner units. Those candies are essentially replacing a role candy and it takes forever to get 20 coins so getting 4 of them for 30k gems is pretty good.
I managed to get Marnie and one Akari as well which is a nice added bonus.

It's not common at all so you rarely use them.
Bertha and Perrin have stealth rocks
Leon apply the fire one with his two Charizard
Rose apply the steel version with his GMax
And Atticus have the poison version with Smog.
I guess Spikes (Ground) and Sticky Web will appear in one way or another but I wouldn't mind that each type have it's own version of the gimmick.
The only downside is that you lose so much time if coupled with statuts and Sandstorm/Hail

Superawakening?
No not really.
In order to get something to the point where you can superawaken you are probably already pretty flush with resources. At that point you superawaken whatever specific niche you are missing for towers or other endgame content. There's no real need to get a general tier list because you can already complete all generalist content with little difficulty by the time you have a 5/5 with 5 awakening candies ready to go.
