It was the last pokemon game I bought
I still have it on my shelf, I literally haven't touched it way over 10 years
It's the only pokemon game I haven't lost the cartridge of, I still will not touch it

I decided to quit pokemon when I learned they swapped to 3d with xy, then my brother convinced me to stay in, it wouldn't be that bad.
When they revealed megas, I initially thought they were retarded; that was clearly mewthree and not "mega mewtwo y" (to be honest the mega mewtwos are still kinda wasted...) so I canceled my preorder.
Then my brother got me a copy anyway that Christmas. Whatever, might as well play.
I didn't get very far. I think I beat the rock gym leader and just didn't feel like continuing.
After about a year, maybe two, I came back to it and decided to do a wonderlocke. I finally enjoyed it enough to finish doing that. It was fun to make decisions like choosing charmander because I felt like it was the most likely avenue for me to be able to use a mega by getting a charmander over the wonderlocke; I ended up getting two overall, which was fun. And I used some weird pokemon and found them VERY compelling, Kecleon was a beast lategame somehow with Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch.
But I haven't played it since then lol
