What are the most iconic locations from each region you'd want to see as reactive stages in a Stadium/Battle Revolution style titleI picture:Kanto Safari ZoneNational Park (Bug Catching Contest)Lilycove Contest HallBattle Frontier, specifically high in the Battle Tower so you can see outside at the surrounding facilitiesGrand Underground White Forest/Black City, like a point where the two cities intersect Marine TubeLumiose(?)Battle Royale arenaNot an actual location, but a flotilla in the open ocean where you can see the 4 islands of Alola in the background would be cool conceptually Dusty Bowl to represent the entire Wild AreaMesagozaWhat other locations would make sense as event hubs or battle courts?
I'll give myself one bump then leave my failed thread to die

>>59068456I feel as if locations like Sky Pillar, Spear Pillar, Area Zero etc would have to be reserved for like secret or challenge matches, as it wouldn't make sense to populate those locations with spectators
>>59067977That would be to much work and memory space for a battle sim; I rather just have a few stadiums based off of gimmicks and that's it.
>>59068948C'mon, anon, where's your sense of wonderThe whole appeal to the N64 and Battle Revolution titles was seeing the creatures actually act like creatures That's been long since lost in the games since they went 3D
>>59068996You do realize that Champions is being played on Smartphones, right? do you want your handheld to fucking melt?
>>59069113Anon, even the shittiest smartphones have been able to play AAA open-world games for like 5 fucking years now
>>59069113I didn't say anything about Champions, but Pokémon is turn basedYou don't have to run anything in real time, it can all be canned for the most part, or the background assets can be 2D while the stuff in focus is fully realizedThey used to get away with decent shit on the old consoles
All the stages in Smash.Saffron CityMt Coronet N's CastleLumiose CityKalos Elite 4For RS, Sky Pillar SM, Poni AltarSwSh, Wyndon arenaSV, Area Zero
Here's the thing. They won't do this because it requires a semblance of effort to make, particularly with reacting environments and flashy animations so they will just never do it. They slap the Pokémon name sticker on turds like SwSh and SV at release and ship them even with massive issues, because they literally make hilarious amounts of money regardless of the actual effort they put in to making a complete game. It behooves them to make an incomplete product and ship it because it cost less to do while raking in the same amount of money. We are long past the era of getting soulful rich content games.
>>59069113Given how tightly controlled the camera angles are in this sort of game, using lower quality models in places where the camera never gets up close to is probably reasonable. This isn't like a main game where they have to put in the effort to design a video game, this is a battle sim that will probably be updated for years to come and when they run out of Pokemon from Gen 11 to add I'm sure they'll need something to retain interest.
>>59068948>That would be to much workThats what these lazy fucks are being paid literal billions to do you bootlicking fag>memory spaceIf gamefreak is handling the optimization probably but if games like shadow of the colossus can run on a ps2 this sure as hell could run on a switch
>>59069113>You do realize that Champions is being played on Smartphones, right? The average smartphone now has better specs than a ps4 and APUs dont run that hot unless youre running a bit miner on your device. My phone is 4 years old atp and can still run games like zenless zone zero with no issue.
>>59069302I do like the Saffron City/Silph Co roofYou could have like helicopters and camera rotoms flying by as part of the ambience I really think important or sacred places should be reserved for secret battles or challenges I think the primary focus should be on places where people/Pokémon could reasonably gather
