It will also have been three years between Teraleak and the planned release of the game, which is MORE than enough time for them to overhaul the entire plot and story of the thing before they NEED to send it Gold for reproduction and shipping out to shops. As far as I'm concerned, Teraleak's dead as a source of anything but historic info currently and will remain so until such time as they start doling out game information that re-confirmes its veracity. There's too much uncertainty that what's in it is what they're ztill doing (Seed supposed to begin development this year, no actual reliable source has indicated it has begun production. Seed was the only project still in pre-production when Teraleak happened, meaning it was the easiest to kill and pivot to something wholly new to not be "predictable").

They said way back in 2019 Dexit was as much to allow their staff explore the ideas they have during a dev cycle more fully as in the past they were usually unable to do so to their satisfaction, or where hampered from implementing it due to the need to so something else "the fans expected". Game won't go gold until next year, about 5 weeks to its launch, whenever that date is (I expect late '27 but children think it's going to be a L: A situation and launch early) so Game Freak are going to keep fiddling with it until the date they need to send it out into the world to be a thing for sale.
