I recently got pokemon firered. I only have ever traded a bit with a person that had it, but otherwise nill. What cool stuff can i do in Kanto on the GBA? Any cool unavailable pokemons or items n stuff?
>>59070364>Any cool unavailable pokemons or items n stuff?Fucking no. FRLG are retarded and don't let you evolve non gen 1 pokemon until postgame. Even cross gen evos like Crobat are fucked.
>>59070474Bummer desu. Can i at least trade johtomons to it so i can start with a murkrow?
>>59070579No, you have to become league champion and have caught 60 species of pokemon to do a postgame quest for the national dex before any non-kanto pokemon can exist in your game. Trading won't allow them over. If you hack them in its fine, but pokemon that evolve still won't be able to. I hacked in a chickorita and some other johto mons once and had to continuously re inject when my team reached evolution level thresholds
>>59070364For FireRed, I highly recommend you find a way to inject some of the events into your save. Also, you should check out the Trainer Tower. Even if the challenge itself is finite, playing through it and clearing it without resorting to Level 3 Electrode cheese is worthwhile. After that the main gameplay loop largely revolves around whether or not you have other people to play with. The game tries to hint towards this with the Trainer Card sticker system. You could run through the Elite Four and endless train Pokemon around level 70-80 for that because the Elite Four rematch battles actually are a bit of a challenge especially if you aren't using items during battles, but other than that since these games are Kanto remakes, what you see is what you get. People do use them for shiny hunting, but that'd be something I don't need to explain if you were already interested in that.
