Galar bird theme is a funny one, I dont think a modern battle theme has made me WANT to like it as much as this one, but its like, somehow not quite right, like its a bit too chaotic or mixed in an odd way. Feels like the kinda thing that if it was remade from scratch for the GBA or something, and then retroactively arranged from that back into a high quality modern mix, it would become a true great.

I feel like that's a problem I have with a lot of modern Go Ichinose tracks, especially his battle themes. They sound very chaotic and all over the place with crazy syncopation and erratic rhythms, very harsh low quality samples etc. I liked his music a lot more when it was more cohesive, probably due to being confined to a set soundfont like in HG/SS.
