You have to wiggle it or do the slide thing and cancel and then full tilt makes you correctly run.I'm disappointed because I really wanted to play with an Oricorio dance strat team and the Dex is pretty good with a lot of my favorites. The entry is just unacceptable and I want people to stop hyping GameFreak up into believing it's good enough, otherwise they'll do it again. If the games that come out moving forward are like Scarlet and Violet it's genuinely over for me as a franchise. I'd just have to pray for an Emerald remake with online battling and permanent TMs (post game) and play that for eternity.

I can't wrap my mind around liking gen8. There's plenty of entries I didn't love, but SwSh was miserable and I didn't even pay full price for it. It's easily the worst mainline game and it's not particularly close.

You don't even need to breed anymore. You don't need to do anything really you just press R and run around and you're overlevelled within 30 minutes and steamroll everything easily... In fact you can skip ahead and beat gyms way past your level because the game difficulty is essentially zero, and then you go to the other gyms and their Pokémon are still the same lowly levels lol.

People are given instant dopamine now for zero work, it's not good honestly. Yeah I hate grinding in Victory Road against some shitmons but at least I feel something when I finally get the levels up from 40 to 50 and beat the Elite Four. Pressing R and your Pokémon just automatically killing things and farming Exp by itself, what is the point? Might as well watch a Let's Play of the game.
