>Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff Event Live Now (March 9 - March 24, 2026)
https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/play-a-limited-time-event-in-pokemon-pokopia-on-nintendo-switch-2

>F.A.Q

>Can I have more than one world in the same console?
Yes. You can have different saves for each profile. It's not like AC.

>What about cloud saves?
Yes. Unlike every other Pokémon game, this one does support cloud saves.

>Does it feature a real time clock? Can I change the console's date to progress faster?
Yes. There's no downside to moving forward or backward.

>Is my favorite Pokemon in?
List is still being updated https://www.serebii.net/pokemonpokopia/availablepokemon.shtml

>I didn't like ACNH, will I like this one?
Similarities with ACNH end at the UI; game is a lot faster, with more activities and a proper ~40h long story mode. If you've played DQ Builders 2, you know what you're getting into.

>Combat? Breakable tools?
No combat, no breakable tools. There's a stamina system in place, but it's very easy to manage.
>>
>FAQ pt.2

>Should I start building a mega project or finish the story?
FINISH THE STORY! Or, at the very least, complete Beach and Ridges.

I've had ocean fishing habitats set up in 3 different areas since launch day and I still haven't gotten west sea Gastrodon. It's the only mon I'm missing. I was able to get the full pokedex diploma without it though.

Finally got Jumpluff. Now I need to build a warehouse for all the event crap because I'm way too stingy not to have them available somewhere.

I kinda expected the Tidal and Clear bells to be habitats/parts of habitats and not just a "Get down here and talk to me" button
Oh well. Here's gyaru Clodsire.

Alright fellas after about 10 days of nothing I am officially very very very tired of the Dream Island Legendary hunt and the time it is taking to get these (I have 0/4) is completely fucking obnoxious. Every single other thing I want to achieve in this game is in the process of happening or has happened. Really sick of it.

I have a list on my phone that I add to whenever I come up with an idea (with seperate sections for each map). When I jump into the game, I just make it my mission to try and tick at least one item off the list. Last night I fixed up the broken path blocks in Fuchsia, cleared out the mountain hanging over the Wasteland area from the middle of Fuchsia to the north section and built a proper (small) path to the Mysterious slab cave.
>>
>>59088312
It is surprising that there isn't that many Japanese inspired building blocks.
>>
>>59088380
I don't think it's (that) bad of an idea to go through to unlock stuff if you want, other than the small dopamine of quest/unlock stuff you aren't gonna miss out on much since you can just do the stuff at any time pretty much.
I'm pretty badly autistic about that stuff usually and thought it'd be an issue but I've been doing fine

>>
>>59087890
They're pretty similar, but Animal Crossing will feel a little worse 6 years later. Pokopia just has a lot more QoL features that you'd expect from this kind of game. Loved New Horizons and put hundreds of hours into it, but after the tutorial section is over the game has much less in the way of objectives compared to Pokopia if you dislike open ended games.
>>
>>59088504
you ""need"" to make a habitat for hoppip, skiploom, and jumpluff, and get whatever # f stuff you want from the store.
I think throwing it in lava might work earlyish, but the normal way is to leave it on a dream island

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Kanto, but in the most broad strokes of how these places would look, so not really, however since you can create whatever you want, you can just completely remodel all the maps to look completely different
>>
My fellow autismos that prefer to build things in a way that fits with the original foundations of the towns, where you guys putting the Pokemarts?
>>
>>59088789
aren't they normally right next to (or close) to poke centers? I didn't consult with the actual game maps because I dunno if that would help much but I've mostly been making them right next to them.
Bit to the left in the wasteland
Same to the left in the ridge
To the right on level with it in the beach
I had made a house opposite it in the skylands so it's like a "block" away by the ski lift thing, but I might move it closer.
Dunno about pallet town yet, but also probably just to the right or left.
>>

daily reminder this is the precursor to the Mystery Dungeon franchise.

Team Rocket was travelling in spaces for decades or even centures(based on the rotting of their ship) and they were DEAD long before they found wherever humanity was living.

Humanity still lives, but they will never return. For all they know, that TR ship was in space the entire time.
>>
>>59088846
The game ends on a hopeful note that humans will return one day, which completely goes against this
>>
>>59088807
Funnily enough, in Kanto they usually aren’t near the Poké Center. In Saffron it is left and behind Silph Co, just south of the gym. In Fuchsia it is a little west and really north of the Center. I’d say back in the area of the water wheels. Vermillion it is closer to where the SS Anne is, just north west of the dock entrance. In Peter it is a bit north east of the Center.
>>
>>59088857
The game ends with one single human finding some random ass picture and that's it. Humans will not return. They happily living in their pokeball ships

It's presumed to be a very long stretch of time after the world went to shit and everyone left, but then snorlax was just sleeping and then the rocket goes for what also seems to be a very long stretch of time before it finds someone, presumably meant to be your trainer.
Was everything just a lot closer time wise than I thought?

Were they still alive? I thought the whole "set up" was that everything that they planned kind of went to shit, so the rocket blasting off again was just a long abandoned protocol that only succeeded because you fulfilled all the stuff.

its pretty easy to get Machop or Espeon in Palette Town
>>
>>59088956
I'm still in the first area, but completed. What are their recipes?
>>
>>59088966
Machop is grass around a big rock, and Espeon requires you to have a house and a pokemon living with you
both only show up in palette town
>>
>>59088966
For Espeon it just requires a chair, table, and a special item you get from completing the "Get a housemate" challenge from the Pallette Town PC.
Machop just requires 4 grass and a boulder. You can get it in Withered Wasteland as well
>>
>>59088863

>>59088865
>>59088888
Oh shit does that work? If you have multiple CD players with the same CD, it's effectively a range booster?
>>
>>59089233
Technically no, they're all just playing the same song within their range, but after you leave the area or save/quit and reload, then they'll all sync up and the difference will be mere semantics.
>>

What time exactly does the hopip event end?

If I buy the game now will I still have time to do it?
>>
>>59089430
5am on the 25th, based on your switch 2's internal calendar.
No, but you could always wind your clock back a week, pick cotton, get the pokemon, then reset it to the actual day.
>>
>>59089430
I think it's like animal crossing holidays, in that it's just a system time thing and now like an actual fomo event.
Not 100% sure on that but I've seen an item from a future event so I would assume it works like that.
>>
>>59089430
the event is local like animal crossing events, so you could just set your date to the beginning of it
you can't clear it in one day because you need to collect some items that you get once per day, so it'd take like at least 2 days to get all the event items

It's disappointing they didn't have any buildings hidden underneath the volcanic ash for you to dig up in Rocky Rdige

they have that one extra building that's sort of connected to the museum, and with how much of a hassle it is to to detailing like that it's maybe for the better

You can excavate the museum and remove all the ash on it.
You can also dig a straight tunnel (or excavate the mountain) to connect directly to the main entrance of the museum, rather than going the long circuitous route underground.

I've talked to him a few times every time he comes up and I haven't seen any talk about Groudon.
They're just more related than most legendaries so it'd make (some) sense to have some dialogue about it, and I would like it and fug just because I like them.
Could make a big sea habitat for him and ones for the other two too
>>
>>59089468
Kyogre doesn't really mention Groudon at all in the game, and it's also because Groudon itself is completely absent.
Meanwhile in the one area of base game where it'd make sense for Groudon to show up, you get fucking Volcanion instead.
Odds are that if Groudon IS going to show up at any point, it's being saved for Cinnabar Island DLC since you can easily tie its appearance to the heart of the volcano on account of Entei being Dream Island fodder.

I'm not sure, but there's a big red crystal that's presumably for sableye's event which a bunch of cloud islands have had for a while now, so I'm at least pretty sure that it goes based off of system time.

God, I love the Axew line in this game. Haxours dropping and chopping small logs, and Axew and Fraxure just getting so pumped to chop them up too. what's rollout going to do? it just gives you normal rocks of whatever you destroy
I guess you could use exclusively marble from limestone but I mean the collectable stones
>>
>>59089577
Doesn't every cooked meal give you max pp? If you aren't using leafage why the salads?
>>

>>
>>59089596
Also, I don't yet have enough potatoes planted to casually use potato steaks when I don't plan on using rollout/rocksmash
>>
>>59089582
Rollout helps with breaking the shit out of stone-based debris (there's a good chance that dream islands will have a cluster in a cave) and boulders, both of which are stone sources.
Other than that, Blissey, Rampardos, Bastiodon, Tyrantrum and Auroros all drop stones as part of their Litter specialty, so if you bunch up all the fossils in a house (extremely easy to make them all Awesome too, since they have significant preference overlap, just as long as you have a source of cold for Aurorus) and then set up a Gather mon and a community box near the fossil house, you'll have an easy stock of stones being passively earned once you've milked your Dream Island dry.

Best way to raise environment level? I know building houses helps a lot, but they take a long time and I don't want to time travel constantly just to not wait till 5 am to build some of them
>>
>>59090017
always use tinkmaster for building kits after you get her. cuts down building times tremendously.
also, nothing's stopping you from building a house yourself block by block. no need for those kits really.
>>
>>59090017
You don't actually need to use construction kits to make houses, literally any rectangular space with one-block tall borders and a door of some kind will register as a house.
Using these piss easy houses and having multiple mons with shared preferences live in the same house (therefore allowing all of them to treat the relevant furnishings as "theirs") is the absolute easiest way to start bumping up environment level, plus it frees up now-emptied habitats to be able to spawn in more mons until you've gotten everything from that habitat pool

>>
>>59090184
They will also take the lifts you learn how to make in skylands. But really as long as you make plenty of roads and put stairs down where necessary you'll see pokemon travel. It also helps if you spread them out instead of keeping them all in a couple big areas.
>>
>>59090184
In my experience, if they have surface that counts as a road (or a cart or lift) to use they will roam pretty much anywhere, but will tend to visit other Pokemon. I saw Magikarp sleeping on a bench in my fighting dojo area on the other side of the map from his home.

I prefer houses out in the open, but I build prefabs for the less interesting pokemon (and pokemon with litter, so the drop location is consistent) so I can still see them when they're not spawned in, rather than needing to summon them with honey.
I also build the two-story prefabs for some of the legendaries (birds on the ground floor, beasts on the top floor), since they're usually far more picky about temp/humidity and the instant update on their comfort when placing and removing blocks makes raising their comfort level easier than waiting a few minutes for each change to occur.

I’m pretty sure I got my berry tree seeds from water spots and gifts.
>>
The "make request to all" button being a button to save you from having to press A on 5 pokemon is fucking retarded. It needs to be a button to tell the suggested mons to come to the building project so you don't have to track them all down

There's at least one hidden tree seed for all the berry types you don't have hidden on each of the 4 story maps
Otherwise you can go to the dev's cloud island and take a picture of their trees to print off at the pokecenter

>There's at least one hidden tree seed for all the berry types you don't have hidden on each of the 4 story maps
There is‽‽‽
Fucking hell, do you have a map for them?
>>
>Some Pokemon won't move in to small houses by themselves, but if I make something just as small with blocks suddenly I can cram 4 in there
Got it, small buildings are only good if you want to make a cuck shed for someone (Magmar)

I only remember I got one of the seeds in Saffron on the northwest island
It was well hidden deep in the lower parts of one of the northern buildings there

Onix and Steelix. Those fuckers’ hitboxes are massive.

Make it look good
Get all 300 pokemon added to your dex
Get every pokemon to awesome comfort level
Build a massive statue of yourself
Build random shit
Play something else until the next event starts

Make a ghetto out of your least favorite location and put all the pokemon you dislike there
>>
Cool, found my first legendary on a dream island finally. Moving Suicine into my crib.

that just gave me the idea to make a Philippines inspired ghetto with a night market
>>
got my second area to 10 because i said fuck it and just moved new guys from overpopulated areas into the homes I built instead of improving the conditions of those who already lived there lol

So is Hoppip just gone from the game, or can I build a habitat for them like with Skiploom and Jumpluff?
>>
>>59094505
Hoppip will be wandering around homeless. Check each region's computer to find out where it is (it should be in the map you first load into after the event) and then 'have fun' hunting it down.
I hope you're lucky.

I'm going to make the SS Anne into a giant pirate ship once I find the fucking cannons.
>>
>>59094522
You get cannons as part of Rocky Ridge's storyline.
Good luck and I hope you post the completed ship, mon capitaine.
>>
>>59094532
I'll be replacing every block with wood for the effect to it'll take forever. Don't be surprised if I post it in like a month or some shit.
>>
>>59094535
Seeing as you're still trying to get cannons, maybe finish the game first. The post-game ability will make your job SIGNIFICANTLY easier since it can replace blocks without having to dig them up.
>>
>>59094539
That's probably a good idea. I only just finished up Bleak Beach, so it'll definitely be a while before I get to it, then.
>>
>accidentally break someone's house while they weren't spawned in
>now I can't call them with honey
is there another way to call a pokemon towards you? they disappeared and even with a teleport pokemon I can't find their location
>>
>>59094743
No you have to reload the zone over and over until they get randomly selected to spawn. I learned this lesson the hard way and now always call the pokemon with honey before touching anything near their house.
