It doesn't matter what they say. You know for a fact mashing the b button helped you catch pokémon
>>
nope we press A when the ball lands on the pokemon in this household
>>

no but it did help me prevent my dewott from turning into a fat abomination
>>
But seriously, we all know that if you press A exactly when the ball shakes it will, but if you're off by any amount of time whatsoever it breaks the Pokeball, right?
>>
It was Down+B pleb.

I use to just mash b now I switch between a and b
>>
Get with the times grandpa. Everybody uses save states and master ball cheats now because rng isn't real™ gameplay.
>>
I caught Mewtwo in fire red in 3 balls mashing b
>>

I don’t know where this came from.
It was always press A repeatedly or hold A down.

I remember trying to catch something when I was little and held down every button I could to make it more successful. It triggered the title screen reset, which I didn't know you could do.
