Decent for emulating regular DS games with a traditional control scheme but don't try emulating pokemon ranger, trauma center, rhythm heaven, twewy, ouendan, bomberman land touch etc. The touch screen is not the same and you'll feel the input lag

What's the difference between the lite and max version in terms of performance?
If i want to play GameCube or N64 should i upgrade to the max version or is base enough?

the base models seems to be decent enough for most content up to the ps2/gamecube era emulation. anything over that you would want to lean towards the other versions

I am getting the max version myself for the TB hard drive, and you can play steam games on it as well so the kinda nutty power boost the max version gets is worth it if you want to go beyond just normal emulation shit
