Only 5PP moves are set to max (8), others are locked at lower values (10PP moves are 12, 15PP moves are 16, all others cap at 20) but these can’t be changed.
I've seen some mixed reports on this, can you choose when to Mega or is it automatic? Pretty sure it's the same as usual but some of the reporting on the mega->switching order thing is confusing.

This game serves only those who are into competitive battling and have Pokemon home.The whole VP thing is so ridiculously expensive. If you are a total F2P fag you would need 6 days to get a Team going.
6v6 free battles will probably be exclusive to the main games, otherwise there won't be any point in them even having mutliplayer.
