Was curious so tracked down the episodes for context.Basically at the end of the episode before the one in OP as part of one of their schemes for Jessie to win a Pokemon contest and the others to hopefully steal Pikachu they got jobs at a summer camp and Jessie did really good as a teacher. They decided to take a break from chasing Pikachu, enjoy the paid for buffet that was supposed to be start of the plan, and spend a couple weeks there. >(Gif is from the end of that episode, Jessie is literally saying "Since I must have burned more calories than a nuclear battleship, I'll have to stock up for the coming leaner season"). The start of the episode after has them a few weeks later leaving the camp, fat and so lazy and out of shape Jessie wants to take a break after a single block and immediately tries to find the nearest buffet. They apparently weren't even eating all that crazy while at the camp, after that initial feast which was a one time thing they had for a scheme they literally just had 3 big meals a day and no exercise other than light walking since Jessie was just teaching.
