Gen 2 fag here, discuss games /gsc/ /Staidum 2 /progress/, what are we doing? How are we doing? I got a Farfetch with Baton Pass gift by beating Stadium R1, should I bother training it? It's boxed right now and this image my secondary team that I'm building.
I actually 100% Stadium 2 not too long ago so I got the Earthquake Gligar which I would like to use at some point. The most recent thing I did in Crystal was produce a bunch of Slugma eggs with a shiny Ditto from Yellow. It's pretty fast with 3x speed and and the really handy feature in Stadium 2 PC that it shows which egg contains the shiny one because the shiny egg is a different shade than the others.

Playing polished crystal. About to go to the e4. Team is>Feraligatr>Scizor>Gliscor>Mamoswine>Espeon>RaikouMain two have definitely been scizor and gatr. Espeon hasn't been pulling his weight, and mamoswine hasn't either if I'm being honest. Thinking about replacing either of them but not sure what for.

My second playthrough of Sour Crystal, this time on Challenge mode, which I recommend everyone do by default. It's not radically harder but Team Rocket puts up more of a fight, so it's worth it for that alone. You'll also be about 5 levels higher compared to Normal mode by the time you get to Red so you're more likely to have access to your final level up moves.
>>59099380Oh it 100% is worth it. Stadium games pretty much enhance the Game Boy games. It's much easier to use PC and Pokédex and there's more helpful features. Stadium 2 also has the Mystery Gift girl that gives you an item every day. Playing mini games with your own Pokémon increases their happiness. I mean it's the full experience of gen 2. CRT naturally enhances the graphics.
OP here again, I gained a few levels since last night, but otherwise not much progress, there isn't a million ways to get exp in the original GSC, either fight the Elite 4 and Red in repeat and the rival and the player trainer looking alike in the trainer hall once a day.

I like those games a lot and early GSC is pretty strong but the progression falls apart around Azalea. Every bullshit roadblock, every boring corridor section of the later games, have its roots in GSC.

Its gonna transform your experience.>>59101587>>59102403This is so true and unfortunetly i havent been so lax with my playthroughs, because what i usually do is keep pressing on, reach the Elite 4, grind like 5 or so levels to be able to beat them and then keep on marching through Kanto. I never really went after trainer rematches except when i get called, i never catch and train more than my current team and all that. My saves have progressed heavily by now so im not feeling that brave for a fresh start in all 3 games but now i do crave the idea of going through at least one of them in a lot more chill pace.

I both tested it myself and there's a comparison video on Youtube too. Without it, especially playing Crystal, it gets pretty rough going through different maps, even between routes without a gate transition or even doing PC stuff.
