Tomodachi Life is ugly and unaesthetic as shit, it's not mogging Pokopia or Animal Crossing in the slightest. The comfy gamers have visual standards. The audience for this will be majority non gaming normies, as they are marketing to them heavily.

I guess that's enough for some people but I didn't even find it as engaging as the Sims can be since with that you have so many mechanics and systems to engage with and progression. But tomodachi felt like it was entirely a dollhouse for miis which doesn't feel worth more than 10 bucks

I have a 3DS set up for my nieces to play Tomodachi and they absolutely love it. All the hate for it in this thread comes from people who expect video games to make up for their empty lives. It's just something you check in occasionally to see silly things happens. It's great for people with a little imagination.
