Is it just me, or is he just not acknowledged as much by the fanbase now-a-days? Go back 10 or so years ago and stuff of ash was everywhere. Ash iconography was common in alot of things from fanart to YT videos. Right next to Pikachu he was THE face of Pokemon. Now it doesn't feel like that as much. It almost feels like Red is more popular than Ash. I get that his run on the anime ended, but his cut off from the fandom has been quite abrupt. I mean, surely newer fans grew up on the ashime and saw him as the face of the brand too, no? I know I was one of those kids. Honestly, now that I'm really thinking about ut, it seems like the anime has lost most of its sway on the fanbase as a whole...Am I just being autistic or does anyone else feel this way?
