Still No New Event Edition

>F.A.Q

>Can I have more than one world in the same console?
Yes. You can have different saves for each profile. It's not like AC.

>What about cloud saves?
Yes. Unlike every other Pokémon game, this one does support cloud saves.

>Does it feature a real time clock? Can I change the console's date to progress faster?
Yes. There's no downside to moving forward or backward.

>Is my favorite Pokemon in?
List is still being updated https://www.serebii.net/pokemonpokopia/availablepokemon.shtml

>I didn't like ACNH, will I like this one?
Similarities with ACNH end at the UI; game is a lot faster, with more activities and a proper ~40h long story mode. If you've played DQ Builders 2, you know what you're getting into.

>Combat? Breakable tools?
No combat, no breakable tools. There's a stamina system in place, but it's very easy to manage.

>Should I start building a mega project or finish the story?
FINISH THE STORY! Or, at the very least, complete Beach and Ridges.

What are the downsides to putting a Pokemon in an "indoor" home? Do they spawn outside less. Are Gathering pokemon more effective in "outside" homes?

Chansey came back with the friendship seemingly reset. And now my Eevee disappeared from her house even though it didn't even had a dedicated habitat for her. At this point this feels like a bug.
Does it have to do with too many pokemon living in one area?

As far as I've seen, indoor Pokemon with Litter still drop shit outside while block room Pokemon only drop shit in their room, which Gatherers won't enter to collect.
I don't know if moving a Gather mon indoors has any effect, but I THINK when you're not playing/in a different area all automatic tasks will advance as if all relevant Pokemon were present and active.

Hello friends.
As someone who has been into Pokémon since Gen 2 I missed on the Minecraft boat so I have no idea on how to play this game.
I'm currently past the Kyogre mission and have the increase the quality of life and rocket recruit missions active, but I really don't know what to do with my world.
I just build one ugly block house for Hitmonchan and it doesn't like it because it's too dark and then I made one of those pre-made houses for a couple of Pokémon, but it is so lifeless and ugly inside, just like my world in general.
I'm so overwhelmed, what should I even do in this game? Everyone else is completely in love with it and spends hours upon hours on it, but I boot it up walk around not knowing what to do and then turn it off. I'm so sad.
>>
>>59110643
I would recommend focusing on completing the main story so you have all the abilities, after that you can look at people's creations for inspiration, since there's really no wrong way to play

The game becomes about making and creating what you want, on top of raising the levels of areas, and collecting Pokemon to live in these areas, but it's up to you how you want to do these things
>>
It's your lucky day!
>>
>>59110643
I didn't build anything fancy myself yet, but as you go through the story you unlock more materials and items that you can decorate your block house with.
>>
>>59110643
If it's lifeless and ugly inside, think of what *you* would want in your living space. There's no "wrong" way to decorate in this game, it's about having fun.
>>
>>59110549
Use magnet rise to replace dry blocks with their watered counterparts
>>
Is there anyway to make the curved eave look good? It doesn’t make corners, doesn’t have a corner block, and the height and width are just slightly off from everything else.
>>
>>59110643
I only played minecraft for like a week back in 2010 so this is my first real try at a game like this. I'd say don't be afraid to ruin the terrain. It's meant to be changed. I only got over that hurdle a few days ago when I couldn't decide where to put anything.
>>
>>59111081
This. I never played minecraft myself so it took me a few hours to realize you can rearrange everything ad infinitum, which is a big part of the fun.
>>
>>59108841
Good to know. though I don't know where else would be a good location besides it's initial area.
>>
>>59110739

>>
>>59111213
Once you move your trade pokemon around it's good to move the pokemon center to closer to where they are especially on skylands
>>
>>59111237
Since you said that, I wish you could relocate the Celadon dept store. Having a home all to yourself on that central island would've been cool.
>>
Why are there no under-angle roof parts?
>>
>>59111369
Not sure what that means, show a pic
>>
>>59110643
You’re still very early so I wouldn’t worry about creating anything elaborate, I was having the same problem but the story slowly teaches you how to be more creative with your world and now that I beat the story I’m making elaborate goon caves n shit. Also ignore the rocket recruit mission, it’s literally the last mission in the game and is a waste of time early/mid game.
>>
Is there a way for burn pokemon to use a furnace + community box if it's near their home?
>>
>>59111369
Them and just ramps are both sorely missed.

In general it feels like the roof pieces are not really intended to make large wedge roofs with open spaces inside at the moment, they are much better suited to make blocky flat topped roofs with slanted edges. Most of the pre-made buildings have roofs that are filled in. I think plaster walls have the same colors as the roof piece internal parts.

According to the terraleak, the rest of the stuff are:
Viridian - forest of ashes that's constantly burning
Celadon - giant chasm that goes deep into the earth
Lavender - corroded tower reaching up into the sky
Cerulean - sunken city holding treasures
Cinnabar + Seafoam - volcanic island trapped in ice

>They're the 2 biggest cities in Kanto
Which is why the two of them being conflated doesn't make sense imo
>>
I'm gonna jump the gun and try to figure out where Pokopia 2 would be set:
>Johto
Logical next step, but also kinda redundant I think
>Hoenn
Would make the most sense imo with how long it's been since ORAS and how it's different it is from Kanto
>Unova
Would work nicely but a BW remake is yet to happen
>Alola
Would also make sense after Kalos in ZA but the region wasn't very urban so I dunno how interesting it would be in a post apocalyptic state.
>>
>>59113262
Johto would make sense if they did a second set of DLC after finishing Kanto.
Sinnoh could work (and be a laughable response to the 'no ice types' criticism)
Hoenn might be pretty interesting, depending on what they do with Secret Bases.

Seemingly each map has a limit of 23 Pokemon being allowed to be active on it at a time, obviously not including any Pokemon inside of their houses that involve going into a transitional screen to go inside of

That feels oddly low, with there being about 300 in the base game not counting event Pokemon, and there being 5 (if we count Palette Town) they could have allowed 30 per map
>>
>>59114527
My newest issue as my towns grow in size is that there are simply too many Pokemon and I have to offload them to my undeveloped pallet town.
There are Pokemon I recruited super early in that I virtually never see around town anymore because they're always stuck in their homes, and I need to make space for the Pokemon I actually wanna move in. Really suffering from success.
>>
>>59114535
Personally, I picked Palette Town as my only real development area. Build a ton of houses there, every habitat, then either move pokemon I like into waiting homes or off load them to another, less developed area to raise its level.
Although now I have pokemon bugging me because they want their friend to move in with them so they can have ‘special conversations’

DQB had ridable monsters, and some even let you destroy stuff easier and faster, like riding a Golem and punching through mountains. Its a shame they didn't bring that to Pokopia, should've been a post-game feature to make terraforming easier, the Magnemite transform feels so limited and slow.

I tired to figure out the tree
>Smooth stones to shrivel the trees so they drop their berries
>The switch controls the 3 hatch front hatches
>The hatches bring everything forward when they open
The things I don't understand are how the switch controls the water supply as it's too far away and how the laser sensors are opening the other hatches. It looks like the sensors are pointing outwards but I can't tell what is being used to trigger them. One weird thing about this setup is that the water doesn't flow in the exact same way once it's released from the hatch again.
>>
>>59114754
I also don't know what the beeping noise is. It's probably the key to it all.

>>
>>
>>59114754
I know the laser sensor can be triggered by both the beginning and end of lava, which can be used to create an infinite loop with a hatch. Which can then be used to infinitely trigger something like the toys to infinitely trigger another hatch to dump water.

If you do and use a firework cannon while the party is active, then Volcanion will appear again and you can move him into a house.
After that, Hype is only useful for the occasional daily task.

In the Skylands, do the Pokemon actually use the lift system? So I have a Poliwhirl that constantly teleports himself in front of Silph Co, despite me moving him into a dojo area i made on the main island area. Every day, he spawns next to Silph, and is the only pokemon around the building. The lift is active and accessible, and now im considering making a manmade bridge to the Silph Co island.
>>
>>59115272
yes they do use lifts, they just need a reason to go there. spread pokemon out and connect each island with lifts and watch them travel. poliwhirl will keep teleporting to that central island because he has a quest or two there
>>

Wait wait wait... Scarcos? You come to /vp/?

How much does parties improve the environment level? I can't find anything about them other than finishing the story quest or summoning volcanion.

but I can tell they're doing something, the first two areas I did them in have skyrocketed to level 10 in the last 48 hours, I just need to know how they work.
>>
>>59115779
Parties aren't really that effective for level 10. You're better off moving a legendary in, feeding every pokemon their favourite food each day, and moving pokemon with low comfort levels into houses.
>>

this is why it's important to use prefab homes. it keeps fuckers around when they're not on the map.

>>59114566
You'll need the glass for rebuilding all of Saffron's skyscrapers in the Skylands.

that said, if you just want habitats, it has plenty between the town, all the caves, the top of the mountain, and the museum.
>>
>>59115810
>recruit more pokemon (there's 300 in the game, divide that between each map in a way you like. Just know that only 20-30 can appear in the overworld at any given time)
>feed them their favourite food
>play games with them when they ask
>talk to them whenever they have a thought/speech bubble above their head
>have each pokemon help out with a building project (there's bonuses for talking to them when they're proud of building something and bonuses for talking to them when they didn't build something but want to)
>move any pokemon that's still iffy or average into a house and fill it with their favourite furniture until they hit awesome
https://www.serebii.net/pokemonpokopia/favorites.shtml
^makes the process infinitely easier. Some categories are painfully hard to understand what they want.
Palette Town should also be done last, so you can bumrush the challenges to unlock all the Eeveelutions.
>>
>>59114411
they respawn 4 every region per hour. but ONLY in fresh water, and never too close, there's like a minimum distance, and if it can't do that it just doesn't.
note this doesn't include the big golden sparkle, that's it's own thing.

so remove all normal fresh water (salt and muddy and hotspring are fine), and then make a big ass pond you check constantly. When you grab them all, move to the next area. By the time you run all 5 big ponds, it's probably about time to do it again.

6DXL PD6F - a dev island with one of everything, great for picture taking for 3D printing, or undiscovered habitats.

PXQC G03S - a second dev island, i'm not sure what's special about it
QBRK 7FVM - 3rd dev island, weird as fuck. probably also has something special i don't know.

The prefab house points equals pretty much EXACTLY all 300 pokemon split evenly over the 5 areas, with the 40 prefab points spent on single occupant dens and huts, leaving 20 mon in each area roaming and doing tasks like firing bricks, recycling, chopping wood, and gathering litter drops. If you use 2 story mansions which only use 2 points but fit 4 like an overworld block house, you can fit 100 mon, 80 hidden away in prefab dungeon houses. Meaning if the DLC is only new mon and events not new areas, the full max is 500.

THAT SAID
>>59109846
Big question.
I know you can put habitats inside of overworld block homes.
Does anybody know if can you put habitats inside of prefab dungeon homes that have enough room, like the 2 story mansion?

It's based on the weather of the map you're on. Heavy clouds and rain will have Lugia, while sunny and partly cloudy will have Ho-oh

That's all I can think of what triggered it for me as I had also started adding lots of grass and greenery.

Am I going crazy or is raising the comfort level in Palette Town super fast? Eevee is already at awesome.

I noticed it but it's the only town where I've made a few buildings so far so I thought it has to do with that. I still need to finish the story.

NTA but it rains for me multiple times every day here, and it's not as if I've done anything to raise the humidity, in fact I actually want it super dry but it still rains.

One of my complaints with this game is that it rains way too fucking much on maps
And then when it's sunny for once fucking kyogre pops out to ruin your day
I don't want to have to do sunny day rituals all the time

It is raining on every single map right now
Team Magma did nothing wrong
>>
Can I just have anyone do rain dance to summon rain or does it NEED to be slowpoke for yawn tech? Trying to make Palette Town wet

I give up. I'm putting pokemon in those 4x4 homes. It's too much effort to build everyone a good home.

Eh, you can get around to it eventually. Switch 2 isn't even a year old, we've got like 5-6 years to come back and spruce things up if we want.

You can assign any pokemon to a 2x2 patch of grass and then throw toys and stools around it. It will look like AIDS but it will get their comfort up until you feep like giving them a real place.

Is the april fools joke that none of the answers are right or am I just retarded
>>
>>59121898
It's easier in Japanese, but you are retarded.
>>
>>59121898
There's right answers. You would've had to pay attention to what the Pokemon were saying before today though instead of mashing through like I did. I failed like 4 questions.

Another project completed, another 14 stacks of cliff rock to leave on a dream island
>>
Who drops seashells or sea glass?
>>
>>59122045
None. You just have to farm the Pikachu dream island
>>
>>59122078
That sucks
>>
>>59122078
I think it might be less laborious to go to Dragontine dream island to farm pokemetal, process it into ingots and then 3d print seashells...
