The starter with the initial type advantage must maintain super-effective STAB against the starter it is supposed to be strong against.Even with Gen 4 where Empoleon is no longer weak to Torterra's Grass STAB, it IS weak to Torterra's Ground STAB.In your spreadsheet, Gecqua loses its weakness to Grass, taking neutral damage from Grass on top of already resisting Steel.
