>>59119007Yeah all my illiterate friends said it was bad
>>59119007I don’t like that the center of the map is used for entralink, imagine if it was another city or at least a townI also don’t like the artificial desertother than that, good map
>>59119103Ya why is there a desert there? No mountains to stop the rain.
>>59119007Where's black city?
>>59119007Which one of these is the unova equivalent of epstein island?
Kojo thread
>>59119011literacy is what allows you to realize unova is shit actually
>>59119143Just call it Detroit
>>59119011I garuntee my literacy is better than yours, and I think Unova is shit not because of its mechanics but because of its half-assed story. They almost immediately throw away any moral ambiguity they could have had with Team Plasma and reveal they're just diet Team Rocket in the dream yard. N is a poorly written character. The Rivals are poorly written characters. There are no well-written characters in Unova at all, really. It's a game that made significant steps forward mechanically with hidden abilities and its EXP system but is basically unplayable because of its insufferable railroad of a story. But then again, maybe I'm spoiled by tabletop RPGs. I'm so used to having near-absolute freedom that being funneled down a singular path with poor writing and dogshit dialogue annoys me. Though, Kanto didn't do that.
>>59119125To be honest most other Pokémon deserts aren't either.
>>59119178>>59119184And I disagree. I've studied writing for almost 20 years. I think BW has the best story out of any main series Pokémon game, though it does obviously have its flaws. Most story complaints are from people who skipped the dialogue i.e. "Why are we doing this" and the dialogue explains exactly why.
>>59119125Deserts can exist without mountains
>>59119237How?
>>59119239The Earth has giant loops of moving air. Hot air rises high up near the middle of the planet (the equator). As it moves away and cools, it falls back down to the ground around 20–30 degrees north and south. When this air falls, it gets warmer and very dry. It pushes clouds and rain away, like a giant invisible fan blowing hot, dry air straight down. This keeps the land dry for years — even if the ground is flat with no mountains to block rain.No mountains are needed. The sky does the work all by itself.Real examples:The Sahara Desert in Africa: Huge, super hot (over 100°F many days), and mostly flat. Almost no rain in the middle because of this falling dry air.The Arabian Desert (including the Empty Quarter): Also very hot and sandy, flat in many places, and stays dry the same way.
>>59119247I'm gonna look this up. I find this hard to believe
>>59119258
>>59119007What do you dislike specifically
>>59119184The Dream Yard "reveal" doesn't trash moral ambiguity—it introduces the central tension
>>59119309Team Plasma's first big public moment is the Accumula Town speech. Ghetsis preaches liberation: Pokémon are suffering under human trainers, and separation would be kinder. This plants real moral ambiguity. Is battling exploitative? Are bonds abusive? N echoes this sincerely in your first meeting with him. The Dream Yard scene (also early, around the time you're helping Fennel with the C-Gear and Dream Mist) does show Team Plasma grunts bullying a Munna for its Dream Mist and using their own Pokémon to fight you. They spout the liberation line while clearly exploiting Pokémon. But it isn't "throwing away" ambiguity or instantly making them "diet Team Rocket." It's deliberate narrative friction. It makes them out to be hypocrits, which mirrors many real world organizations.
>>59119007It can't be worse than here
>>59119007...on opposite day
>>59119328this is kino doebeit
>>59119007Nigger
>>59119309>>59119315see the thing is that that tension is never actually built on until the next game.
>>59119328alola is a great region stuck in a mediocre game
>>59119184>They almost immediately throw away any moral ambiguity they could have had with Team Plasma and reveal they're just diet Team Rocket in the dream yardThis is a valid argument>N is a poorly written character. This is not a valid argument, it's an opinion you didn't elaborate
