If you're not taking advantage of Mega Sol, you're better off using another Pokemon.
Mega-M will most likely settle in as a side-pick to Mega-V on Sun Teams and fill in a similar role of dismantling enemy tanks and gluing the team around its defensive core. It's going to rip open holes for the actual Sweepers, with a prominent niche in that it takes out other Weather setters or abusers. It will most likely be spamming Leech Seeds and running Synthesis, with Giga and Solar being interchangeable (altho Solar will most likely be preferred for its pure nuking capabilities), and Weather Ball will melt Steels, with Earth Power being a surprise tool in the chamber if the team needs it. While it may seem redundant to have Mega-M on Sun Teams, it's rather fitting for Sun Teams to be "ushered in" by Meganium, and it gives them a much needed, versatile "fuck you" cannon to break open opposing teams. While yes, it is still slow, it's meant to be forcing switch outs and shelling enemy teams like an artillery, not outspeeding, as not much is going to want to take repeated Solar Beams, and many mons who resist Solar Beam won't survive a surprise Fire!Weather Ball or Earth Power. Not everyone is running Alomolola (I don't know who would ever switch Alo into a fucking Meganium in the first place), and the alleged Regenerator nerf means Alo isn't even going to be able to constantly come in to soak up a Solar. Mega-M's only reliable wall is Toxapex, so Teams will have to build around handling it.
