Mt Coronet and its consequences have been dire for the Pokemon series
trying too hard
It do be like dat doe
>>59127866i never understood how mt coronet was supposedly confusingit's literally a linear path each time you visit it and the only connection between the north and south sides is a one-way path you can't take until after spear pillar anywayif the north part that leads to route 215 was just called "north cave pass" nobody would even bat an eye
Posting the accessibility maps again
>>59127866they did this since people bitched too much about HMs in gen 4 btw
>>59128949Hoenn is easily the best because it's the most linear progression but also basically every point in progression has a relatively easy loop back to earlier in the game. Kanto and Johto have points where the non-linearity negatively impacts the game, and Sinnoh is just all over the place in really unfun ways.
>>59127866I like nu pokemon. There’s less to keep track of. You just go do shit and don’t have to think.
Nu-Pokemon begins with Gen 2 then because there is only one example of the left in the entire franchise.
>>59128963>Arguing for linearityKanto's the best because you legit just have access to the entire region the moment you hit Celadon. Nothing can hold you back at that point. The midway point of the game and the only thing left to unlock is the final dungeon and you can tackle it in any order you want. I beat Koga third and Blaine fourth my last playthrough and I fucking wished other games would let you do this. Johto doesn't commit to it, this faggot ruins Johto so fucking hard when it could've been as good as Kanto if Masuda just trusted players to play the game and not went "Nooo, you can't just SKIP things"Hoenn is this faggot but as a region. It's pure linearity. There's nothing of worth to backtrack to in Hoenn, and what is worth backtracking is just mandatory anyway like Norman's Gym. Maybe if the faggot didn't lock Bagon behind Waterfall for some fucking reason I'd give praise to this dogshit region, but you can't even travel up Route 123 to get to Mt. Pyre. It's a one-way from Mt. Pyre back to a route you've already been to. Completely optional, completely redundant and adds nothing to the gameRegion for faggots
