WiWa or WaWi seem to be the most straight forward abbreviations, why wouldn't these work?

Much like Sword and Shield, the only reason people insist on Winds and Waves is because they're autistic and want there to be a clear distinction between version pairs if they start with the same letter.It's the same reason everyone calls the Sinnoh games "DPPt", but for some reason no one EVER had a problem with that and it's ONLY when SWSH was conceived that everyone started having autistic meltdowns.
