Brainlet here. How did this movie end? Was it all a dream/simulation that Mewtwo made to see if humans could prove themselves or did Mewtwo rewind time back to the Pokecenter but the Joy is now there?

The original ending is sort of up to interpretation. Mewtwo definitely erases itself from everyone's memories and presumably goes into hiding. I guess he sent them back in time to when the storm was active? Doesn't really explain why Nurse Joy just casually walks up to the group if she had been missing for a while. Did he change the memories of the people on the mainland so they thought she was there the whole time? And does anyone care that dozens of scientists died in a fire, or did Mewtwo make everyone forget about that, too?

Mewtwo can erase memories but he can't do anything about computer records which might be why there's multiple Mewtwo or more specifically other teams stealing the Mewtwo plans.

Imagine having taste this bad, it unironically mogs the fuck out of the Jason Paige "scratchy rock vocals for the kids!" version. For the record I love that one too, and his voice is better in the full length version, but it's nostalgia to call it the better version. Billy Crawford's vocals are smooth but powerful, and the added high notes are kino, and I think the "too cool" instrumental is great. Just listen to the bridge section of each version, the TV song is just generic not-Van Halen guitar fill, pretty cool, but nothing special, and yeah the movie version is all just synth, but it feels like it serves the vocals better imo.
