>Ho-Oh and Lugia are the phoenix and dragon duo, a pair that usually represents female and male respectively, even having an idiom used in asia to refer to a pair of siblings, a girl (phoenix) and a boy (dragon)
>Kyogre is called mother of the sea, Battle Revolution also uses a Kyogre suit for the girl and a Groudon suit for the boy
>Dialga's clan has a male leader, Palkia's clan has a female leader
>Xerneas and Yveltal have a genetic theme too (also see mega evolution), Y is the chromosome only males have while X is the one everyone gets from their mother
>Solgaleo and Lunala's alchemic theme makes them male and female respectively, the pokedex supports that too
>Zacian and Zamazenta are siblings and at least Zacian is said to be a girl
>of Koraidon and Miraidon's nicknames at least Koraidon's indicates gender, being called a "king", male
>Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves are already coded as male and female respectively both in leaks and official reveals
What about the unovan legends? The teraleak had info on them saying Reshiram acts like a mother and Zekrom like a father, but yang (white) is traditionally masculine and yin (black) feminine. It's obviously a play on the yin in the yang and the yang in the yin but how should we interpret it, is Zekrom a masculine mother and Reshiram a feminine father, or is Zekrom a feminine man and Reshiram a masculine woman?
>>
It's type B'

We knew long before from interviews that Zekrom is masculine and Reshiram feminine.
Also, Zekrom is the mascot of Pokemon WHITE, the masculine one so it fits.

If Zekrom was a feminine male and Reshiram was a masculine female that would make Zekrom the yang (male, white) with yin (female, black) inside and Reshiram the yin (female, black) with yang (male, white) inside.
Zekrom's category is the Black Yin Pokémon and Reshiram's is the White Yang Pokémon so Zekrom has to be a masculine woman (yin, just with some yang inside) and Reshiram has to be a feminine man (yang, just with some yin inside).

Conclusion: The black dragon with child-bearing hips is a tomboy, the white dragon with a fur penis is a femboy.

>>59133132
Notice how that's exactly the opposite to how it goes. Zekrom is literally categorized as yin and Reshiram as yang, not the other way around.

Reshiram canonically belongs to a feminine male(N) and Hilda is a boyish female which would suit Zekrom

That's because everyone forget that these are species of Pokemon. Unless the Pokemon is hard coded to be a single gender or are basically male/female versions of one another (think of Zacian/Zamazenta, Solgaleo/Lunala and Latias/Latios) they could theoretically be male or female, That's why Kyogre talking like an old man in either version of Pokopia is throwing people off. On the other, Ho-Oh talks like an old woman and Lugia sounds a lot like Kyogre.

Yin represents cold, and neither of them is truly cold (except Kyurem). They all control high-temperature plasma.

The logic of Yin and Yang cannot be applied literally. Here, the male is Zekrom with his muscular build, his more raw and ferocious nature, while the female is Reshiram with her stiletto heels, her two long pigtails, her feminine, slender, and elegant appearance, not to mention the two tufts that resemble the top of a dress concealing her breasts.

The interview and Teraleak are very clear: Zekrom is masculine and acts as the father, while Reshiram is feminine and acts as the mother.

Aren't Reshiram and Zekrom said to be brothers in the lore?
They split, each side with one of the two princes, and fight for them.
>>
>>59134428
They are legendary Pokémon that originated from a single powerful Dragon-type Pokémon (sometimes called the "Original Dragon").According to Unova lore in Pokémon Black and White (and expanded in sequels), this dragon served twin human heroes (the "Heroes of Truth and Ideals") who used it to help create the Unova region. The older twin valued truth, while the younger valued ideals. When the twins argued and fought over whose philosophy was right, the dragon split into two: Reshiram sided with the older brother (truth) and embodies yang/fire.
Zekrom sided with the younger brother (ideals) and embodies yin/lightning/electricity.

The two dragons battled but were evenly matched, so neither won. The twins eventually reconciled, realizing neither truth nor ideals was superior alone. (Their descendants later restarted the conflict, devastating Unova, after which Reshiram and Zekrom turned into the Light Stone and Dark Stone.)A third Pokémon, Kyurem, is tied to this myth as the "leftover shell" or empty husk from the original dragon's split—representing a lack of both truth and ideals. In Black 2 and White 2, you can fuse Kyurem with Reshiram or Zekrom using the DNA Splicers to create Black Kyurem or White Kyurem, symbolically "reuniting" parts of the original dragon.

Anon, the series is made chiefly to shill at little Japanese boys. That's why despite trannies and gays finding "representation" and self-inserting into the girl avatar, they still push the shit harder at little boys than girls (the shonen shillmon superhero squad, VERY popular with little boys into shonen superhero archetypes). Sobble and Primarina were made specifically to target little girls, but Cinderace and Incineroar were the shillmons of Gen 7 and 8, because little boys are more important than girls and queers who think they're girls. The girls are never canon, much like both version's stories are never both canon because they're not written as two unique instances of a story, but one plot with alt version differences (eg RS Team Magma/Aqua - both functionally the same but one based around land and the other the seas, because the box legends were ground and water type respectively while the rest the game plays out as normal).

Yeah you dumb cunt, this is clearly another "we changed it to make it work" bit. Never mind Teraleak itself is on the rocks as it pertains to Gen 10, as they'll have had 3 yerars since getting their shit stolen and launching Gen 10, which is more than enough time to re-do the whole story and plot if they so flet like it (only takes them two years to produce a project anyway, three they could nearly solve world hunger).

Pretty much what anon has been trying to tell they gays, while they stick their fingers in their ears and pretend the black masculine pokémon is ACTUALLY a feminnie thing, despite having no such evidence to support it, Since humans started drawing on cave walls with grease and plant dyes, they've developed a stylistic language to better present what they're drawing more completely. Part of that is the concept of masculine and feminine design tenets, where the artist deliberately decides to use plenty of hard and sharp angles, bold lines and colours to present masculine characters (eg Incineroar, Lucario, Charizard) while using soft curves, rounded angles and flowing lines and lighter colours to present feminine designs. And shockingly enough, applying design theory to the pair backs up Sugimori's words about creating Resh as feminine and Zek as masculine.

Yin and Yang are a source of inspiration. However, a source of inspiration doesn't mean a copy/paste job. Not all Yin and Yang symbolism is truly compatible with them. It's more the colors and the notion of duality that are being used.

Fundamentally, we just have a champion of the ideal and of truth, who controls matter in a high-temperature plasma state, comparable to energy. This contrasts a more technological aspect with something more natural. But your talk about an effeminate man or a tomboyish woman is nothing but nonsense.

Factually, one was explicitly designed to be male, so Zekrom, and is compared to a father figure. And Reshiram has a feminine design, and she behaves like a mother. You can get angry and insult me, it won't change the facts, nor your strange fantasies of wanting to reverse them.

>even the road blocks don't make sense in Ruby (why the fuck would Team Magma train Wailmer, not Team Aqua)
>the placement of the legendaries too, a seafloor cave fits the seafloor pokemon better, which is why once again Emerald gave that to Kyogre and had to make up something else for Groudon
>Kyogre also comes earlier in the dex than Groudon, as the "first" legendary from the "first" edition
>Cave of Origin is supposed to be where life comes from as opposed to Mount Pyre being a graveyard, the pokemon linked to the origin of life is Kyogre, Groudon represents demise instead
>the remake even makes the villains' submarine be customized as a pokemon, Sharpedo in Alpha Sapphire and FUCKING CAMERUPT, a pokemon that dies from one water drop in Omega Ruby

When we talk about cold, we're not referring to colors. We're talking about temperature, which doesn't apply to Zekrom at all.

If I answered like you, I'd simply say that black absorbs light, so it heats up faster, while white is colder, which doesn't make sense. However, we could do this kind of mental gymnastics for an hour, and it would be pointless.

Reasonably, not all the symbolism of Yin and Yang applies to these Pokémon. And that's normal; it's simply a source of inspiration, and each Pokémon incorporates several elements without copying everything exactly. Yin and Yang don't even exist in the Pokémon universe, and aside from the color scheme that defines their design (white/red vs. blue/black) or the notion of duality, while being two sides of the same coin, they retain nothing else. Because Zekrom and Reshiram remain their own creation, their own unique entity.

If the goal was to perfectly copy Yin/Yang and they actually embodied it: Zekrom would not be ice type, with feminine characteristics, we would not have this lore about the ideal vs truth, we would rather evoke darkness, the moon, humidity, winter and so on.

In fact, some Teraleak myths attributed powers to Dialga and Palkia that closely resembled the general symbolism of Yin and Yang. But this was eventually abandoned.

Whether a Pokémon is gendered female or male, I'm not going to get all worked up about it. That's your thing, not mine.
In this case, Reshiram is clearly female. The interview makes that clear, and the design even more so.

The fact that Teraleak specifies that Zekrom acts like a father and Reshiram like a mother is just the final nail in the coffin.
Because it implies that Zekrom was designed to be male, and that its behavior and personality also fulfill this role.

Yin and Yang are just inspirations among many. Applying them literally is absurd, but drawing inspiration allows you to maintain creative freedom and adapt them according to the needs and desires of those who design Pokémon, their lore, etc.

Arceus has inspirations from Zeus, yet it is far from adopting all of its characteristics, stories, and so on. it also has other sources. Especially since it has other inspirations, that's the whole point of being an original design within its own fictional universe.
>>
>>59134773
All pokémon can be male or female, yes. But all box legends are of specific examples of their species and as such are presented as a gendered duality (Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Palkia, Reshiram, Xerneas, Lunala, Zacian and Miraidon, Gen 10's Grandma legend all female; Lugia, Groudon, Dialga, Zekrom, Solgaleo, Zamazenta, Koraidon and Gen 10's Grandpa legend all male). That the series and franchise as a whole adheres to these should also tell you their intent is for them to be seen as such.
>>
>>59134768
And the hottest stars are blue and tend towards the ultraviolet wavelength, while the coolest tend towards red. By taking different fields, one can easily say anything and its opposite. My absurd example demonstrates the absurdity of your own examples because they are of the same nature and we could go around in circles like this for an hour.

Idiot, I know very well what a "cool color" is and I know that blue is associated with Yin.

However, you're deliberately changing the subject because you know you can't win the debate. Yin and Yang also contrast temperature, hot versus cold. And you'll excuse me, but Zekrom isn't cold.
It also contrasts "slow" with "fast," so how is Zekrom slow when he controls lightning?

We have dragons that contrast the ideal with truth, with high-temperature plasma as their power. Yes, it doesn't fit, because Yin and Yang are just one inspiration among many that partially shaped what Zekrom and Reshiram are. It's foolish to apply Yin and Yang literally, especially since it doesn't exist in the Pokémon universe.

This is wrong. Just because it's called king doesn't automatic make it a male. We have both Slowking and Slaking and they can be female. It's the same thing in real life. Look at the King Cobra. It can be female as well. The main reason it's called king is because of it's size and diet of eating other snakes. The same with T-rex, latin for Tyrant King because of it's size. Koraidon could just be called the Winged King because of it's power, strength and size, that doesn't mean it's a male.

They literally went back and REMOVED any room for interpretation by changing how you summon it to the White Stone to get rid of any "it's meant to be Yin" arguments and then gave it a giant crotch tuft to emulate a dick. Reshiram is Sephiroth right down the oversized "sword."

Except all box legends are presented as a gendered pair and Miraidon's design theory leans feminine. Yes, there can be female Koraidon, but guess what? The specific one we meet in-game is male, per its design theory, just the same as each specific box legend we meet during a game plot's climax (so despite Zacian and Zamazenta being a species with multiple individuals of both genders, the two who stopped the Darkest Day were specifically a female Zacian and a male Zamazenta).

Anon, they've been gender coding box legends since introducing the concept of paired box legends in Gen 2 and turning the anime tranny's self insert into a male example, SPECIFICALLY because they intended to make a Fenghuang pokémon (and even TOLD the fucking anime tranny to feature it in the first fucking episode he made) that was historically seen as female in Japan. They didn't just the randomly decide to stop in Gen 5 before continuing on again. And Zekrom's got too much of a barafaggy design to pass as female, unless it's going to a /vp/ IRL meet-up with the other non-female cocksmokers of the board.

No, the debate is:
Female Reshiram and male Zekrom vs. male Reshiram and female Zekrom.

And the beta version doesn't depict Zekrom with a female appearance.

Furthermore, the tuft of hair isn't even a dick. You'd have to be retarded to take that literally.

I think Zacian is the female and Zamazenta the male of the same species. A bit like Latias and Latios. Zacian literally has braids and some kind of diadem. Or Zamazenta literally has a beard. It's even possible that they are unique individuals.

Regarding Koraidon and Miraidon, yes, those two can be male or female. It's just the design and the color chosen for the version that give Koraidon a slightly masculine look, while Miraidon is slightly more feminine.

They're not though. The Latis are siblings, but they're not the same species. The two species share a sibling dynamic but one can only be male and one only female. That's markedly different to how the wolves are presented as Gender unknown (long-term series shorthand for "it can be male or female but it's like this to make breeding challenging/not happen at all in cases), implying both genders of both species can exist in-universe, despite the female Zacian and male Zamazenta who saved Galar.

>And the hottest stars are blue and tend towards the ultraviolet wavelength, while the coolest tend towards red
Ironically you helped his argument because now he can argue that's how their eyes work. Reshiram has piercing blue and Zekrom has red

Latias and Latios have nearly identical Mega Evolutions, it is a phenomenon based on vital energy and genetics. Of course, Latios is the male and Latias the female of the same species. Furthermore, they aren't unique individuals; the Pokédex states that there are a small number of Latias.

Not having a defined gender doesn't mean much. Solgaleo is always male, and Lunala is always female.
Getting back to Zacian/Zamazenta, not only do they appear to be unique specimens that have lived for thousands of years, but they are also physically almost identical, while still being explicitly gendered design.

What you just said only serves to highlight, more and more, the absurdity of the one who argues that Zekrom is a female.

>per its design theory
That means jack shit when games themselves argue against that since the main villain of both games are different gender. Sada for Scarlet and Turo for Violet. And these are the only games that let you get two of the same Legendary.

I take that back, SM comes to mind.

Retardo we know you can call a species a king and still having both sexes but if legendary pairs are usually if not always divided by sex and one of them uses a masculine word then of course we are lean to depict that one as male and the other as female, just like the dogs have Zacian being called a sister so we are meant to see Zamazenta as the brother even if TECHNICALLY both could be girls or like how Kyogre being the mother of the sea TECHNICALLY doesn't mean Groudon can't be "mother of continents". It's called logic and themes
