The main issues is just how buff Datk type is and how many phychic types just aren't that good themeslves. Mons with less Dark coverage plus Phychic mons with better stats and gimmicks, and they'd be fine.I see them as more of a middling type than outright bad themselves.Honestly I think pokemon as a whole should have less coverage moves, the options for coverage should be much lower unless the Pokemon's gimmick is having good options.Like why can Rampardos learn Fire Blast?Dark types typically will get the most and best dark movesIce types get the most and best ice moves.Water only gets some of the weaker ones as they're more adjacent to Ice type, like Rock and Ground.This alone would give many pokemon much more value.It's also okay for some types to be bad, as long as they have ways to combat it, bug is a bad type but if they had better moves like U-Turn you'd still want to use them for those moves, so the gimmick is the type itself being weak but having fantastic combative options to balance it out.
