So how do i play this game?Im currently trying to get into advanced singles and cant winI have a raindance team with Zapdos as my lead to set up Rain and then sweap with Kingdra or Zapdos Thunder but that doesnt work as well as i hopedEnemy just walls me with Milotic or Blissey or Chansey and when i want to switch in Machamp or someone like that to deal with those guys they immediatly switch out and beat me with a counterI dont what to do or the basics of when to swithc in and how to build a team to counter these situatons and what to expect when going in
>>59139510If youre playing singles you basically need entry hazards somewhere on your team, also why bother wasting a turn using rain dance when you could just have a drizzle pokemon be the main setter
>>59139602drizzle doesnt exist in gen 3
I think the bigest problem i have is with EV placementTheres so much to consider and so many benchmarks to remember that it just fells overwhelming at timesI just max out 2 stats and leaf it at that most of the time
Maybe weather teams are to complex for begginers in advance where permant weather setters dont exist yet other than tyranitarWhat would be a simple team for beginners to learn the basics of single?
weather just seems super weak in the early gens because the effects are so short5 round rain is barely anything when you ahve to deal with walls like Blissey or snorlax
>>59139620Uhhh kyogre?
>>59141107those are ubers and they are banned for OU The only pokemon that can set weather on entry is Tyranitar
>>59139510Your best bet is to pick up an already proven team and try to use it the way people describe in order to learn more fundamentals. ADV is pretty tough to learn as well, so maybe try a modern metagame first to get your toes wet. Also watching active battles and replays is golden.
