They deleted it, because unlike the last time the anime went off-reservation and created a pokémon, they hadn't made a movie featuring a special snowflake one-of-a-kind cunt that COULDN'T be deleted safely. This time however, the anime got what they deserved - a off-brand mega to go with their off-brand mentality that was easily and correctly binned when it came time to make an actual mega evolution for the frog.
