Unironically game freak consists most Pokémon outside of leg 151 to be fodder to prop up the handful that they actually love and actively hates some. This has been the case since Gen 2 and was exacerbated when the first set of megas came and separated the “super saiyans who you are supposed to use as your ace” from the “megalet fodder who should fuck themselves” , but holy shit. Even most of the “golden children” who were good enough to get megas got fucked in the ass this time.
